Dr. Kira Schofield

This woman should never be allowed to even put a bandaid on someone. I had a gastric bypass back in 2006. I was always sick and throwing up. Followed up in 2008. I was in a tremendous amount of pain. Throwing up blood. Sick and weak all the time. So 2008, i had a revision to the bypass and supposedly put everything back. She also implanted a lap band, in case I started gaining too much weight. Even though I weighed 110 pounds! Was in the hospital for a few months on a feeding tube. Got a bed sore. Finally go home with the traveling nurses coming twice a day to check on me. I eventually heal and going on about my life but in 2 years went by and I srarted with round 2. This time I went to a different surgeon. At this point, I weighed 88 lbs. Was rushed to emergency surgery. The lap band eroded through my stomach and became a bowel obstruction. Also my intestines were all knotted up and damaged. So the new surgeon had to take 100% of my stomach out and bits and pieces of my damaged… inthisstines. The surgeon saved my life. He said it was a big mess in there and he couldn't understand what or why she did with that last surgery. Her nurse told me that she had an addiction to pain medication. Nice time to be told this info! Unfortunately the stomach removal and some intestinal removal has lead to so many health problems. The nurses and doctor told me I was lucky to be alive. I would have died if I didn't get help when I did. Some told me her license was revoked. It's hard to find out anything about her now. Unfortunately as well, I couldn't sue her because the statutes of limitations were up by now. Be aware of this person. If you know where she is, I would like to thank her for making life suck for me in person!!

caused irreputable abdominal damage,due to cell phone use in oprating room andconsequently dropping phone inside of insision,resulting in prolonged staff infection and horrible scarring and bowel damage,left me to see another less quaified surgeon

Dr. Schofeld performed my lap band surgery in 2004. Eleven years later I still have my weight off and have had no major problems. She helped change my life.

Dr. Schofield is so amazing. I met her several months ago and we will be friends for life. Her Nurse Gina Williams is so sweet and helped me in so many ways. Both girls are terrific.
