This Dr.Chekka, stated that I did not have chronic pain as an IME for workers comp, I am an ER Nurse & I have high grade rotator cuff tear, this is prolonging my suffering, this Dr. will say what ever for workers comp, I also didn’t think a pain Dr. should supersed the Opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon, Thanks Dr Cheka for prolonging my pain and suffering, I hope you sleep well at night. Because I don’t due to pain .And Stay in your lane!! My

Dr chekka did not have a clear plan and does not follow up even if you have 2 short questions . He doesn’t answer email several calls and not my husband call . He insulted me when he commented that I should have to pay to ask two simple follow-up questions that I emailed to him, and only after there was so much time that he did not reply. Did I call the office and the staff ignored me and my husband finally upon the third phone call, as we were trying regularly to get an answer for a follow up, they handed the phone to him, and he said that I should have to pay for those questions to be answered! Very arrogant. I genuinely feel as if my hope was lost for me to pay for this Service I expect professionalism and respect and also for The Doctor to listen to me and not to be rude and he is definitely very rude. I am still waiting for the practice manager to call me back as I will update this if she does try to rectify things she promised to call me so, I will gladly change this if she does… but this point we don’t even know if we have this doctor still and why would we want him if he doesn’t return calls? Or emails? As there is no portal just a front desk person who Half the time the phone doesn’t even answer it just rings and rings. Organization and getting bedside manner together and respecting your patient and getting a staff that actually generally cares about communication.

Dr. Chekka correctly diagnosed my CRPS, which had been incorrectly diagnosed and treated as lupus for years. His treatment gave me back my quality of life. I will forever be grateful to him. He also facilitated my enrollment in an investigational study that was greatly beneficial. He is an amazing doctor and an amazing human being.

He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He has come up with a much better treatment plan than I've had in the past. He is a very busy doctor, so getting in as soon as possible was not easy but very much worth it.

This Dr and his staff has been so compassionate when it has come to my pain. I'm able to get in right away for appointments and get the treatment that I need. I'm so grateful.

I was diagnosed early this year with a badly ruptured disc (L5-S1). I had had a ruptured disc before (L4-L5), and managed it with therapy, steroid injections and anti-inflammatories. This rupture was significantly worse, landing me in the emergency room for pain on one occasion and making it impossible to walk for more than a block on several others. I was seeing a pain doctor recommended by my orthopedic surgeon but did not like him at all. He told me I could not be having the reaction I was having to the drugs I was taking (Lyrica made the pain worse -- I frequently have paradoxical reactions to drugs), made fun of my desire to work out, exhibited essentially zero empathy and never returned my call the day I landed in the emergency room. My husband's doctor suggested that I contact Dr. Chekka at Premiere Pain (conveniently located about a mile from my house -- but many other locations as well) and I have been seeing him ever since. He was consistently kind, caring, empathic,… listened to what I said and included me in his treatment planning. He also administered the only painless epidural I have ever had! Unfortunately, these measures were not enough to control the pain, and I ended up having a micro-discectomy three months later. 8 weeks later the disc leaked again. A microdiscectomy "revision" was scheduled for a week later (the earliest the surgeon could fit me in) -- in the mean time, the pain was completely unmanageable. I thought I knew what nerve pain was like from the first two rounds -- I had NO idea. My surgeon never even returned my call concerning what pain meds I could take prior to surgery (the anti-inflammatories were out) so I called Dr. Chekka in a panic. He agreed to see me even though he was already booked for the day. He listened carefully, devised a plan to get me through until the surgery, and gave me the permission I needed to take my medicine and essentially stay in bed for the next five days. He saw me the morning after the surgery as well. I will continue to see him throughout my recovery and any other time I need pain management. I would recommend him unhesitatingly to anyone in severe (or even moderate!) pain.

Dr. Chekka is compassionate, caring and professional when it comes to the care of his patients. Because of this Dr. Chekka's patients return and have nothing but praise for him.

Step by step, from trying to make an appt, office visit and finally, billing. 1. To make an apt., you must leave a message, they will call you back within 24-48 hours. Really? Can't pay for someone to answer the phones? 2. Girls in reception, very friendly and kind. 3. Waiting time can be extensive! Usually over an hour after scheduled appointment. Twice, doctor wasn't even in building yet. Last and final visit, they changed my appt time without notifying me so I showed up at 11, MY appt time. They send someone to the crowded waiting room to inform me I was 12 minutes late so they needed to reschedule. I had been waiting for this procedure appt for weeks, needing pain relief and so looking forward to this. Interesting how doctor was in procedure at this point since they said I was late, he should have been free during "my time". 4. Before my scheduled procedure I had an mri, called looking for results to make sure no new changes, making sure procedure would stay… same. Left messages, no return call. Finally someone answered phone, rude and condescending. They really feel they are doing you a favor. Guess what? I pay for your services, you are working for me. It's my life, my pain, my hard earned money, I pay for this. 5. Depending on who rooms you, good luck! The young paramedics who work there are friendly, but the young lady is a cold and rude employee! 4. Dr Chekka and nurse practitioner very kind, no problems with their procedures or recommendations. 5. Billing is a nightmare! Can't get someone to answer and if you do they don't have answers, usually have to give to supervisor to figure out mistakes. It took over one year to get billing corrected! They have you test urine also, since they prescribe so many pain meds, I understand. But from one sample, they charged over $1000.00 in fees. With all the meds they already know I'm on its overkill, testing me for nicotine use? Wonder why our insurance rates are so high. 6. You can be the best doctor in the world but if the people you have working for you and your office policies are flawed, it can ruin your reputation. I had never been late, always waited for them and one time THEY change my time by 15 minutes, you're off their schedule. I wasn't a new patient, having family take time off of work to drive me and they treat me like this? I would NEVER recommend this practice, sorry Dr Chekka, you're a kind compassionate person but your employees and policies need help.

The staff is always super nice and Dr. Chekka is amazing.
