Meet Dr. Kirby
Dr. Kirby Kavanaugh-Buzard has been practicing dentistry for over 17 years in the Northland and relocated her practice to Zona Rosa in November 2005. Dr. Kavanaugh-Buzard was born and raised in Gladstone, Missouri and comes from a dental family background, as her father and brother are well-respected orthodontists in the Northland. Her mother is an amazing woman who taught Dr. Kavanaugh-Buzard her softer, gentler side. A song that she likes to listen to because it reminds her of her mom is “Wind Beneath My Wings†by Better Midler.
Dr. Kavanaugh-Buzard graduated with honors from Oak Park High School and attended the University of Missouri’s six year accredited dental program. She graduated from dental school in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts/Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.
Dr. Kavanaugh-Buzard has two beautiful daughters, Madison and McKenzie. Both girls help at the dental office many times with their mom, which …gives the office that genuine family environment.
Dr. Kavanaugh-Buzard is a member of many professional organizations, including the Missouri Dental Association, American Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, Lake Waukomis Civic Women’s Club, Park Hill School District Parent Teacher Association, AWANA’s, and Northland BNI 1, where she has held the position of social and education coordinator, and president. She is also a very active member of the Clay-Platte Dental Society.
