Dr. Kirk David Jenkins, MD

Saw Jenkins for joint hypermobility, arthritis, etc. for a couple years. Discussed the possibility of EDS and he said not to worry unless I started having worsening vision problems and irregular heart rhythms (severe symptoms not even associated with hypermobile EDS). Said there was no way to screen for EDS except genetic testing that "my insurance would never cover." I asked my PCP to refer a genetic counselor for second opinion; counselor said my symptoms most aligned with hypermobile EDS and that diagnosis involves a PHYSICAL EVAL and NOT genetic testing. Genetic counselor was telehealth and could not perform physical eval. Because I believed Jenkins would not perform this evaluation, I asked his office for a referral for a rheumo closer to home. Jenkins refused to write it because "he wrote in his notes to follow up with him as needed and doesn't feel comfortable writing a referral when it seems like I don't need it." TERRIBLE. Unknowledgeable and does not listen to patients

Horrible Doctor !!!!!!

Dr. Jenkins is a wonderful physician. He is not the kind of Dr to just pump you full of meds he actually wants to know what is going on with his patients so the correct medication can be given that will actually help and not just mask your condition with pain meds. I like the fact that he will tell you like it is, to me I would rather have direct answers. I would recommend him to anyone needing a Rheumatologist.

Ego filled and clueless. Poor bedside manner

Arrogant and rude. Kept saying he was the smartest guy in the room and my previous Dr was incompetent. I was sickened and never went back.

I would give him 5 stars. I did not have to wait long, he was personable. We discussed my case, he came up with a plan and I am doing well. I would recommend him.

He has an attitude that was not what I was expecting of a physician. He couldn’t remember anything we discussed. When you try to enlighten him he gets rude. Fails to acknowledge his weakness. In efficient of our time. Not humble at all.

Rude, obnoxious. Treated me as though I was wasting his time. Left me waiting over an hour while he taught a class. Misdiagnosed me. Find a better doctor.
