Best doctor, I have had.....He Listens and explains , about medical conditions you are diagnosed with. Listens to you...answers all questions you have. He was my doctor for about five years.

I have seen Dr. Stevens several times. Almost always he is rude and very short with me. Always typing on the computer and never stoping to listen to my concerns. He treats me like I'm an inconvenience to him. I understand I'm not a doctor but that doesn't make him better than me. And that's how he makes me feel when I see him. So I am now changing primary care physicians. He diagnosed me pre-diabetic and said he wanted to check the levels in 3 months again I have seen him several times since and he not once has brought this back up. I have brought it up and he doesn't order the test. Another case of me bothering him I guess.

dr stevens is a good doctor, very caring of and interested in his patients. he is very, very understanding, very careful, and very gentle. his office nurse and staff are tops. he is also a sharp diagnostician, as well. i know this from experience. you need a dr? see dr kirk.

I went to Dr. Stevens complaining of constant fatique and difficulty with weight loss asking to be tested for hypothyroidism given a strong family history. I was and was told that I had pre-hypothyrodism and that it was too early to be treated but that I would be monitored. No follow up appointment was made. Out of curiousity,6 months later I requested my labs and saw that indeed my TSH levels were high. Off the charts- no but elevated above normal levels. I've read that my level used to be considered Pre-hypothyroidism but that there is growing efforts to lower the normal level and many doctors are now medicating earlier due to symptoms. At the minimum I feel I should have been refered to an endocrenologist, or given a follow up appointment instead of being left wondering 6 months if my symptoms were all in my head.
