Dr. Kjersten Elrida Gmeiner, MD

She is not very great.shw does not listen at all. My son was in a lot of stomach pain and she gave her Peptobismol .Asked her to refer him to a GI she declined ..leaving this to his PCP..so waiting more. It was a waste of tine and money of course from my insurance

A week and a half ago, I went to the walk in due to sudden vision changes and brain fog/slurred speech. I had stroke work up, everything was normal. The Dr at the time believed it was a migraine and referred me to a neurologist. A week goes by, I'm doing fine, I see a neurologist. Then the weekend came and I had the same event, except accompanied with headache and persisting for 4 days. I was told by my neurologist to go to the walk in. This is where I met Dr. Gmeiner. When I arrived I explained my situation to the staff and informed them of my neurologists recommendation of an MRI, and I expressed hoping to have that done today. When the Dr. came in she treated me as if I came in demanding an MRI, she referred herself as "playing receptionist" by getting me the MRI. She did not evaluate me further and wouldn't answer any questions until after the MRI. I come back to review it, everything is normal, she says "Well, I did what you asked, got you the MRI." kept saying multiple times… "well, I don't know you" and "you have a long history of migraines" when I asked questions about what I was experiencing. My friend was with me and mentioned that at least knowing the MRI results would help with my anxiety. The Dr. latched onto that, saying it could be anxiety related. She asks me "Do you have anxiety?" I confirmed, her response was "Yeah well looking at your chart it sure looks like it". I am not on chronic anxiety medications and have not had a long term prescription for at least 8 years. The only thing she could be referring to is an ER visit I had for a panic attack A YEAR AGO. She then began to explain how our brains have so much power over our health. Excuse me? I cant see right and am constantly dizzy all of a sudden. This isn't anxiety. I asked her if there was any recommendation because I'd like to get back to work, she laughed and asked "Why can't you work?" Um I had explained to her I work at a research center with SCIENTISTS and handle EQUIPMENT. I cant see or think! And I can't drive! Now for the even worse part of this. She falsely documented our visit. She wrote "headache and vision problems persisting for 10d". How many times did I explain to her it was one episode a week and a half ago, and now persistent for 4? She also wrote that after administering a shot of ketorolax that my pain was slightly reduced and my dizziness resolved. NO. I said and I quote "My neck and shoulders feel a little less painful but my vision is still the same" This visit was a waste of time except for being able to get my MRI done. I dont know why you're a walk in doctor if you're going to tell every new patient you see "Well I don't know you" yeah, no kidding.

Dr. Gmeiner was unprofessional and ignored my symptoms. She said that I was looking for attention since she could not figure out where my pain came from. She was not willing to write a referral for a specialist. I went to another physician that gave me a referral and as a team found out what was wrong with me and treated me.

I felt that she was dismissive of my pain. She tried to say it was all in my head and that the pain I was feeling wasn't as severe as I claim that it was. I went for a 2nd opinion to another physician that took my pain seriously and treated me. I am now pain-free. I won't be going back to Dr. Gmeiner.
