My 87 year old father was being prepped for heart surgery when Dr Rao was hurting him while starting the IV. Dad kept complaining of the pain and Dr Rao kept saying that he should be a big boy. It took another Dr to intervene and advise the correct procedure. I later complained to the hospital, and Dad received an apology from the doctor 2 days later.

My 83 year old mother called him as she was experiencing lower back pain. He made an appt. for her to see him on a "Sunday" and told her to stop taking her coumadin WITHOUT contacting her cardiologist. A medical disaster waiting to happen. The man should have his license taken away! My mother extremely susceptible to blood clots - what an ignorant thing to tell someone of her age - to do!

My mother contacted him regarding lower back pain. She is a senior citizen, 82 y.o. He, on the phone, without having seen her nor speaking to her cardiologist, told her to stop taking coumadin 5 days prior to her appt. with him. He cannot diagnose - he is licensed to inject pain meds, but to do so without a diagnosis is DANGEROUS. Thank goodness I caught her not taking her prescribed coumaden. She is HIGH RISK for blood clots. This is an incompetent doctor!
