Dr. Koonlawee Nademanee, MD

By pure chance I met today Dr. Koonlawee in Bangkok at the Bumrungrad Hospital. He told me indeed that he is not accepting new patients in Los Angeles but he will be more focusing on his work in Bangkok and he does not plan to retire so soon. Dr. Koonlawee did my ablation 2 years ago in Bangkok, using the new cardioInsight technology with the 252 multi electrode system. It was ancombined ablation for AFib and AFlutter and he did an excellent job. The ablation treatment that Dr. Nademanee does quite well is still considered state of the art. He worked on a difficult problem I had with atrial fibrillation and flutter and now I have been free of it and in good heart rhythm for a few months. I have been to several different cardiologists over the years and only one of the other cardiologists do I rank up at Dr. Nademanee's level. Also, he has a very knowlegable and considerate staff of NPs and receptionist.

I have been a longtime patient of Dr. Nademanee's - he has always provided the finest care and diagnosed my multiple arrhythmias (two very different rhythms) correctly and treated each one appropriately. I have been in normal rhythm for seven years now, I have a local cardiologist (I fly in from several states away for annual visits) but I am always doing well rhythm wise. Since I travel for work, I even did my annual at his office in Bangkok, Thailand. Its great knowing I have the option to have him close by in case I need him when I am in Asia for work. I am so fortunate to have been introduced to him by a friend, who is also a patient of his and I recommend him every chance I get. Thank you so much Dr. Nademanee, you have allowed me to live life normally again.

Thanks to the caring and expert hands of the incredible Dr. Nademanee my 82 year old mother has been given her normal active lifestyle back. He is wonderful and all his staff members are so helpful and knowledgable .

After two failed transeptal RF ablations and PVI performed by (the best of the best) other EPs who only worsened my condition; I was finally able to be treated by Dr. Nademanee. I've had an irregular heartbeat all my life. As I aged (early thirties) my irregular heartbeat worsened causing me to faint frequently. After many ER visits, meds, tests, procedures, cardoversions and hospitalizations, I was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation being the culprit of many other arrhythmias and syncopal events.As mention above, I had two prior ablations (worsening me) and PVI before seeing Dr. Nadamanee. My initial consultation with Dr. Nadamanee was like no other. He is very humble, patient, a good listener, caring and kind. I had two more visits before he finally performed my third and successful ablation in 2005. His staff is very knowledgeable, professional, kind and caring as well. Cathy, Pricilla, Francis and Nicole are amazing. In 2011 I had recurrent symptoms. I was told by different EPs… that I will need at least two more procedures and perhaps an ICD. I did everything in my power to go back to Dr. Nadamanee for a second opinion. Dr. Nademanee re-evaluated me and placed me on a 30-day high tech monitor. During my monitoring period no AF was recorded. Confirming his ablation in 2005 a success for AF. Dr. Nadamanee has given me my life back! He trusted in me and in my judgement. He also listened to me and did not (within reason) forbid me from resuming my normal active life-style. He never pushed any medications on me especially when I mentioned how they affected me. Dr. Nadamanee continues to monitor me periodically to ensure all is well with me. He takes extra precautions and reassures my husband and I how well I may be doing. Before Dr. Nadamanee I was extremely symptomatic, on various meds and syncopal. I rarely saw daylight. I lived in and out of hospitals for nearly three years. To this day, I don't believe Dr. Nadamanee knows of the impact he has made in my life and my families lives. When I shook his hand to thank him and tell him how he had given me my life back, he replied. "I really didn't do much." I said to him. "YOU DID EVERYTHING!"

I had severe atrial fibrillation for years. Medications and an attempted ablation by another cardiologist failed. Several other cardiologists wanted to implant a pacemaker.I was referred to Dr. Nademanee and immediately felt that I was with the right doctor. He was compassionate, understanding, and had a humble confidence that put me at ease. He performed my ablation ten years ago and I have been free of atrial fibrillation ever since. After a very bad experience with another cardiac electrophysiologist, we were blessed to be referred to Dr. Nademanee. He was very knowledgeable, caring and thorough. His office staff was outstanding. Priscilla put me at ease with my insurance concerns. Francis was amazing with her bedside manner, concern and understanding. She even called after hours from home to help with a question. If you have any questions about an abnormal heart rhythm, Dr. Nademanee is the man to ask.

What an excellent physician - he has ablated my father twice; mind you, my father is almost 80 years old and is in excellent cardiac health. I knew my father was in good hands when I met the physician, however his care goes far beyond - he truly is a gem.
