Dr. Kori Lynn Singleton, MD

I was a Patient of hers with the Northern Nevada Healthcare System (V.A.) , she was my "Primary Care" Physician for over a year . I found her "Bedside Manner" to be lacking , and she only seemed to be concerned with me quitting my Opiate Pain Meds for a Spinal Injury which is Chronic and permanent . And didn't do anything regarding "Signs and Symptoms" of other health issues . I made a formal complaint regarding her lack of treatment and wanted her removed . I personally wouldn't recommend her to anyone !

It's readily apparent she did not believe me when I told her about the pain in my back which had been on-going for months, as well as my inability to stand up straight or walk any distance. She ordered physical therapy which only made the pain worse. I was chewed out for discontinuing therapy and told to continue. She FINALLY agreed to an x-ray and then an MRI (after months of being in severe pain). The MRI showed I need back surgery. I require a laminectomy and fusion of 3 discs. Her only solution had been physical therapy. I then told her about severe shoulder pain. Again I was told to go to physical therapy. I went twice. The pain severely increased after each session. I requested an x-ray. I was told an x-ray "wouldn't do any good" because I had arthritis in my shoulder. I was told to go back to physical therapy and gradually increase the exercises and weight bearing on my shoulder. Interestingly, the physical therapists told me if I had arthritis in my back they… could not help me. I assume arthritis in the shoulder is helped by physical therapy??? Every time I have seen her I have to remind her of my history and on-going issues. I know doctors are busy but couldn't she at least read my file before seeing me? In my time with her I have I consistently feel like a piece of meat with no life outside of her immediate concerns and recommendations. I am not a person to her. I am symptoms to be quickly diagnosed and resolved. I am tired of being talked down to and chewed out for disagreeing with her. Mind you, I am a well-educated person who believes in questioning doctors' decisions which I think might not in my best interest. She seems to want her patients to blindly do what they are told. I am going to ask the VA for a new doctor...one with some compassion and, more importantly, listening skills. I want a doctor who looks at me when I am speaking, not at the computer ordering tests. I want a doctor who will take the time to know me as a person and really listen to what I am saying. Singleton does neither.

She is more concerned about where her position is than really carrying for patient. She is rude , sarcastic and made me feel like committing suicide seriously stay away no compassion. Lacks skills to work as doctor.does not want to help vets at all in carson valley .
