Dr. Kosha Kamani, MD

If you are at Highland Park hospital and assigned this quack RUN!! I was an inpatient and my potassium was low. I repeatedly asked to be given some to raise my numbers but she waited until it was critical and finally gave it to me. I had been due to be released but due to her incompetence she wanted to keep me even though she also stopped my fluids that I needed to stay hydrated. I left AMA rather then trust her with my life. I have had many problems sadly with my potassium and never treated so callously. She does not deserve to be called a doctor.

I was a patient at Northshore Highland Park Hospital. I have never in my life had a doctor make me feel so terrible about myself. She demeaned me and made me feel like I was doing something wrong because I have health issues. I was in tears and her attitude made me decide to leave the hospital against medical advice just so I wouldn't have to deal with her. If she is an example of a doctor her I am frightened to ever return.

My only encounter with Dr Kamani was through a hospital stay at Highland Park Hospital. I thought her quality of care was very poor. But in her defense she is merely a "hospitalist ", within the NorthShore System. To say she practices medicine would be in error. She merely pushes people through a system in accordance with their medical benefits. I Believe in my case her lack of knowledge and care resulted in medical setbacks that may never be overcome.
