Dr. Krina Chavda, DO

I highly recommend Dr. Chavda. She's been a great help to me and my daughter for the last year.

Been a patient of Dr Chavda for 7 plus years had my annual visit yesterday, found her very abrupt and a little rude. Burnt of a pre cancer spot, I thought it was a liver spot she said no, well how come you haven’t burnt it off before it’s been there for several years!!! She pointed out Two liver spots on my arm, those are freckle moles I have had since child hood. She also contradicted Her self on something she told me to do last year. Every body has a bad day but hey lady this is my body, and I’m self pay.

Came in for an allergic reaction. She seemed uninterested in any information I was giving her. Prescribed me medication and made a follow up appointment. After taking medication there was some improvement but new symptoms appeared. My theory was it was due to the medication but she disagreed. Her comments included “This is not my first time prescribing this medication.” and “ I have seen bites before and those are not bites. “. Although that was the reason I showed up in her office in the first place. Overall she seemed uninterested in any information that I had and did not ask a lot of questions. I felt rushed and like a product moving down the conveyor belt.

Barely got all my questions answered! She left the room and I had to get assistant to find her. She didn't go through all my options for my skin problem. Then told me if I couldn't afford procedure today I'd have to come back. She told me I wouldn't have to pay another co-pay for coming back for the procedure. I called the next day to cancel my procedure with her. I was told I'd have to pay the co-pay all over again plus amount for 5 min. procedure. If you don't know the answer just ask your office, don't assume. How did you get through medical school without asking questions?!

I visited Dr. Chavda's office several times, and when I tried to call her regarding a follow-up question, she refused to call me back. I left several messages over the course of many weeks, but I never received a call back. This is the worst customer service I have ever received from a medical professional. Her lack of interest in following up with me illustrates her blatant disinterest in her patients’ well-being. I would never recommend her to any family or friends.

I had an initial appointment with Dr. Chavda to cover 3 minor medical problems. One problem was a fungal problem. She prescribed 2 anti-fungal treatments and sent the prescriptions directly to the pharmacy, I picked up 1 at the pharmacy not knowing at the time that there should have been 2. Two weeks later I get a call from their office telling me to pick up another prescription in that the first had steroids and the new one didn't. Okay, so I go back to the pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what else I had for my regular medication pick-up. At that point he informs me that I had one prescription via Dr. Chavda that the insurance company refused - why?... it was for $31,000. I asked for them to double check with Bay Dermatology. Got the same script back from them. Then I checked the first one online, there were no steroids. So why did they tell me there were? My second appointment I mentioned all of this to Dr. Chavda and she went into big time denial mode saying how she… was a professional and would never do that, etc., etc., etc. Per Shakespeare, "me think the lady doth protest too much." I'll never go to Chavda again and I recommend you not either.

I had been to Bay Dermatology several times. I have a history of skin cancer including a melanoma. I had a suspicious mole. The doctor was brusk . She took a biopsy and told me results would be in 7-10 days. I did not hear from her or the clinic. I called 3 times on different days and never received a call back. This went on for over 7-10 days longer. Finally my wife called the Tampa office. I then got a call from the Homosassa office saying the report was in but that the doctor had not looked at it yet. They would call when she did. They did not call. My wife called back and I was told that it was cancerous and that I needed to come back for surgery. I told them I would not go back and wanted my records to send to my former dermatologist who is over one hour away but attentive. I was told that they would not send me records without a release signed and that they would NOT email the release. They said I had to pick it up or they would mail it. They NEVER offered to fax it to me. We… drove down to pick up my records. I complained to the main office and NEVER heard from them. The Homosassa office manager I dealt with was rude. The only polite person was the receptionist who was very nice. I would not recommend this office or the doctor.

The Doctor took the time to discuss conditions and gave excellent professional advice and recommendations. I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Chavda.

I went for my toe nail and a skin allergy, she didn't take the time to ask me about my condition and a nurse assisted her about my issues (i jus gave the nurse basic info about my health and she asked me what i came for ) but Dr never even asked me what problems i had, any concerns or questions and she never told me what reason i got them she jus prescribed me and said you can see me again If there is no improvement. In the meantime I conceived and when I asked my primary care doctor she told me not to use the creams.will never recommend or see her again a very rude doctor.
