Dr. Krishna Narandas Nirmel, MD

I wanted to write this review in hopes of helping someone who is in need of a Neurosurgeon. I am now post op one year today, 3.29.19 7:00 am at Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham, MA. To name a few of my issues were Spinal Stenosis and Neurogenic Claudication, Spondylolisthesis and Osteoporosis with pathological fracture of lumbar. You say what is all of that? I basically couldn’t walk, sit, stand, drive, laydown without great pain in my lower back radiating to my left side, hip, thigh and leg. I was in constant pain and sleep deprived. I was referred by my PCP in the Metrowest area. My initial visit with Dr. Krishna Nirmel was a physical in my street clothes, no gown needed. He had me walk towards him; bend forward, backwards, side to side to name a few things on this visit. He needed studies to support what he thought was wrong including an MRI, bone density and X-Rays and labs. Denise, Office Manager, sent supporting documents to the insurance company and spoke with… them directly. Some appointments she was able to make some I needed to make. She always kept in touch and provided the contact information for me to make the appointments. Meanwhile, Dr. Nirmel, supplied me with a spinal brace which really helped with the pain. The following office visit(s) included review of the findings, on a large computer screen, and a physical functioning review. My asking a page and a half of questions, along with my support person, which he answered every single one. I decided to have him perform the surgery; this was the only way to get rid of the pain. The last appointment included my acknowledging he made no promises along with me explaining to him, in my own words, why I was having the surgery and what he would do. When I woke the following day from surgery the pain was totally gone. I had surgical site pain, not the pain of why I had surgery. He fixed it! Dr. Nirmel is soft spoken, humble, thorough, upfront and willing to take the time to explain what needs to be done and answer your questions. He has the patience of a saint. He’s the type of doctor that will tell you if he can’t help; he’ll tell you who can. I hope you find this review of help to you. Enclosure, Dr. Nirmel, if you happen to hear about this I am so happy to be able to write this review of you. I was in pain for years and you were the doctor who put an end to the suffering. I can never repay you for giving me my life back. But I want you to know how much I appreciate all that you’ve done and how grateful I am to you. I saw Dr Nirmel in consultation for neck surgery. Never have I gone to see a Dr that explains your mri and xrays in such detail. He goes over them with you on a big screen. His examination is very thorough, and explains why you are having the symptoms as well. I highly recommend Dr Nirmel.

Please go elsewhere. Not only is he and his office so unprofessional it really gives you a bad vibe the second you walk in. The consult was quick he seemed uninterested. Real bad experience

I would NOT recommend Dr Nirmel to anyone. He did my surgery and I had to go to another surgeon to “fix” what he did. Aweful experience

Seemed very unprofessional to me and rushed. Didn’t take any time with me or my significant other who accompanied me to the appointment. Overall a strange experience, did not make me feel comfortable.

is the worse doctor I have meet dint do anything he said on my surgery left me worse than before I do not recommend him to anyone

I saw Dr. Nirmel because I had debilitating back pain, he went over my MRI and X-rays very thoroughly, on a big screen in fact. He explained in detail why I was hurting so much. He recommended conservative therapy ie; injections, pt, but that did not work for me. I had a minimally invasive discectomy done 2 weeks ago, and I am now pain free. Thank you Dr. Nirmel!!! You are the best!!!!

Dr. Nirmel is the best!! I had surgery 2 weeks ago on my neck. From the beginning to the end, Dr. Nirmel and his assistant Denise are top notch. You won't go wrong in seeing Dr. Nirmel. He is a miracle worker

Dr NIrmel is the best neurosurgeon. He is very knowledgeable and extremely patient. He listens to you, and explains in great detail re: your condition. He displayed images on a huge screen so that I could view them with him and explained in great detail about my condition. I have never been to any Doctor like this. His staff is great also. Very pleasant. I would go back and recommend the office to everyone I know. Thank you Dr. Nirmel.

Dr. Nirmel is very understanding and thorough. His bedside manner is unlike other surgeons. This man takes his time to make sure you understand everything. He spent over an hour with me and I never felt rushed. He is very good at what he does. Impressed to say the least!
