Dr. Krishna Rama Padiyar, MD

Dr. Krishna Padiyar is the medical director of Bon Secours OccuMed. As the director he oversees the management and treatment of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses and conducts medical examinations including, but not limited to: fitness for duty evaluations, independent medical examinations (IME), impairment ratings, medical surveillance/respirator examinations, and job site evaluations. Dr. Padiyar is a certified Medical Review Officer, who is responsible for receiving and reviewing laboratory results generated by employer drug testing programs and evaluating medical explanations for certain drug test results. Dr. Padiyar is also certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners as an Independent Medical Examiner and is well-versed in the 5th and 6th editions of the AMA Guides to Evaluation on Impairment.

Board certified in occupational and environmental medicine, Dr. Padiyar received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in …Richmond, Virginia and his Masters of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, where he also completed his residency in occupational and environmental medicine. He is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Padiyar was the Medical Director of US Steel Mon Valley Works, where he oversaw the treatment of occupational injuries and managed worker disability cases. Prior to that he worked as an on-site plant physician for Lincoln Electric Company and General Motors.
