Dr. Krishnakant Shantaram Raiker, MD

I've been seeing Dr. K. Raiker for many years. As of late, his patient load has seemed to increase, but he has cut back on the number of hours he spends seeing his patients in his office. On my last visit I had a two-hour wait. Dr. Raiker offered no apology and seemed hurried during my visit. I seriously feel he is overscheduing his patients, and it seems as if he has a lack of respect for them by doing so. He will ask about your condition, and even if you respond that you are feeling well, will order tests of which he doesn't explain his reason as to why they are necessary. High-price tests, such as nuclear tests, are being scheduled more frequently, even though my condition is not deteriorating. When I ask as to why he is doing this, I don't get a satisfactory explanation. My insurance company is beginning to question the validity of the testing. I'm considering seeing another cardiologist because of this.
