Krishnan Ramani, MD, joined Lutheran Medical Group in July 2003. He came to Fort Wayne from Farmington Hills,, Mich., with his wife, Revathi, who is a pediatrician. Dr. Ramani earned a medical degree from Madras Medical College, an affiliate of the University of Madras in Chennai, India. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency as well as a cardiology fellowship at Detroit Medical Center, Wayne State University in Detroit. Prior to the cardiology fellowship, Dr. Ramani was chief resident at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, an affiliate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Ramani, who is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, has special interests in transcatheter closure of patent foramen ovale, atrial septal defects and management of adult congenital heart diseases. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Indiana State Medical Society and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.

Had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes before we got to see him. But was worth the wait. Very pleasant doctor, easy to speak to. Very kind and understanding.

This is the second visit I have had with Dr. Ramani. Both times he was very understanding and seems to actually care about his patients (me). He tried to explain everything so that I would understand, but without making me feel like an idiot. I was extremely stressed the first visit and he tried very hard to make sure I wasn't over worrying for no reason and tried calming my fears. Not an easy thing to do but he did give me reassuring and he addressed all of my concerns. He will also fight for tests if your insurance doesn't want to do them but he wants them done, so that is a huge plus. All in all, he is a great doctor and I'm very pleased that I have him as my doctor. Would highly recommend.
