Dr. Krishnaveni Kesavaraju, MD

Welcome to my Web page! I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my practice. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005 after working for two years in various outside pediatric practices. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues, patients, and the excellent working environment that continuously inspires me. I actually feel that I am able to reach and help my patients here. I always encourage my friends to join Kaiser Permanente, both as physicians and as members.

Biography
I am a native of India, and did both my medical school and residency training as a pediatrician in India. My family and I moved from India to the United States due to my husband's job. I did my pediatric training at White Memorial Medical Center in Southern California, and served as the chief resident during my third year of residency. I live with my husband and our son.

About my practice
It is rewarding to see children recover …and grow. I do both hospital and clinic care, which gives me the opportunity to help children achieve both of the above. I strongly believe in preventive care and education; teaching people about health and disease is very useful because they can learn to take care of themselves appropriately. I also take the time to educate parents about the condition of the child; I find that it commonly relieves their anxiety about the unknown.

How I thrive
Maintaining a balance in my professional and personal life is very important to me. When we travel, we try to return to India to visit my family. I eat a well-balanced, vegetarian diet and try to exercise regularly. I enjoy cooking, reading, and listening to music. I am also an enthusiastic PTSA member.
