Dr. Krista Ann Buckley, DO

Dr. Krista K. Buckley was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania. She received her B. A. in Biology and English with High Honors from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania in 1995 where she was inducted into the honor society of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Buckley then earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. Dr. Buckley completed a transitional internship at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2001. She was a general medical officer at Camp Carroll, South Korea from 2001-2002. She returned to complete her dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas in 2005. Dr. Buckley served as Chief of Dermatology at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 2005 to 2008. She joined Annapolis Dermatology Center in August 2008. Dr. Buckley has published articles in dermatology and family medicine journals. She is a member of the American Academy of …Dermatology and DC Dermatological Society. Dr. Buckley is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She practices general and cosmetic dermatology as well as dermatologic surgery. As current predictions are that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer, Dr. Buckley emphasizes the importance of skin cancer prevention and detection. She stresses the importance of periodic self-skin exams for everyone and routine skin exams by a dermatologist in patients with a history of skin cancer, numerous moles, or concerning skin lesions. Dr. Buckley resides in Severna Park with her husband and four children. Her hobbies include running, cycling, swimming, and spending time with family. Dr. Buckley treats patients at U.S. Dermatology Partners Annapolis, formerly Annapolis Dermatology Center.
