Dr. Krista Marlene Kandel, MD

I was rushed to the ER after feeling and hearing a pop in my knee. In the ER, Krista gave me a white pill which she referred to as "extra strength Tylenol." 3 hours later, when I began to feel drowsy and out of sorts, a nurse told me I had been given a narcotic. Krista proceeded to abruptly walk into my room and said "Ok time for you to go" as if I was there for a paper cut. I was discharged without any diagnosis and the same level of pain. The next day I visited a specialist whose MRI imaging revealed a severe Helmet Tear of my Meniscus. I am so dissatisfied and I feel emotionally damaged by this experience. I was given attitude and treated to another degree of unprofessionalism.

We just saw Dr Kandel today at Seton Northwest Medical Center. She and her staff were friendly, helpful, caring, and highly skilled. We were surprised with the efficiency as well, knowing that busy ERs can mean a long wait for a non-life-threatening problem.

Dr. Kandel calmed my nerves and spent extra time explaining what was going on. I hope I don't have to go to the ER again but if I do, I only want to be seen by her!!

My father came in to the emergency room after falling on his side in the garage. He was released by Dr. Jahnke despite repeated requests by my brother to allow him to stay over night for observation. My father was on blood thinner at the time and the doctor was aware of this. She gave him morphine and released him him with strong pain medicine. The next evening he was rushed to another hospital and it was discovered that he had several broken ribs, a collapsed lung and was bleeding internally.The next day my father died.
