Kind, warm, encouraging, validating, and utilizes techniques including relaxation, cognitive restoring, and positive communication skills that helped my daughter go from a very sad, angry child after losing her father to a healed and cheerful child again. Safe, calm, encouraging - Dr. Trefz provides her patients with these qualities with both her personality and her office environment. From the minute I walked in, I took a deep breath and found I was able to really get down to some serious soul work. Why do I do the things I do? What are the things in life/work that cause me to feel so stressed out and unproductive? It's not that I haven't been trying to problem-solve my issues myself, but I get in a rut with negative self-talk. It has been so helpful to have someone with great empathy, great listening skills and practical advice for truly changing my life. I may have sought Dr. Trefz for the top of mind stress/anxiety I have been feeling, but I know I'll be able to get down to some of the core issues that will be life-transforming. Thankful for her work with me thus far.
