Krista Young, DO, FAAP, CLC

Krista Young, DO, FAAP, CLC, is a board-certified pediatrician with MSU Health Care Pediatrics and an assistant professor of general pediatrics at the MSU College of Human Medicine. Dr. Young earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina.


Dr. Young has a special interest in breastfeeding and lactation and is a certified lactation counselor. Her clinical interests include helping families make informed decisions about their child’s care, and adolescent mental health. She is a member of the American Academy of Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.She is a member of the American Academy of Physicians, American College of Osteopathic Physicians and American Osteopathic Association.


Born and raised in Troy, Michigan, Dr. Young is proud to return to her home state to care …for local families. As a parent herself, she believes her personal experience helps her better understand the needs and concerns of both children and their caregivers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two energetic Australian shepherds.
