I called the practice because I had a concern about something during my pregnancy (my first one) and Dr Aversa called me back (she's not my primary OB).. I found her to be extremely condescending to me. I have no idea what she is like as a doctor but I do not like her bedside manner.

Dr. Aversa repeatedly made unnessessary negative comments about my vagina which was altered by cancer surgery. As if I wasn't already aware. She has no sensitivity.

I have been seeing Dr. Aversa for 20 years ! She knows me, my children and always makes it a point to ask about my family. I find her to be very knowledgeable and kind. She is always very honest and I trust her judgement. I recommend her.

I met Dr.Aversa after I delivered my baby while she was rounding at the hospital. The first thing she did upon entering my room was to check herself out in the mirror and fix her hair. I was unimpressed with her and found her bedside manner in need of some major work. She had not seen me before and instead of familiarizing herself with my case she was completely clueless. I will not be seeing her again and am considering leaving the practice. ...I want one more child and certainly don't want to take a chance on having to rely on her for my medical care not to mention my child's well being while in uter or during delivery!

I had such a negative experience with Dr. Aversa that I have changed doctors completely. I have used this practice for over twenty years and my three children were delivered by the doctor in this practice. I had a procedure shortly before Thanksgiving and was told that I would be back to my normal routine within 2-3 days. After two weeks of bleeding and cramping I called the office. The receptionist told me that Dr. Aversa was in surgery for the morning but would be available for appointments later in the afternoon. My husband had to leave work to take me to the appointment. I was sitting in the room in my gown feeling vulnerable and extremely nervous that something was terribly wrong. When I explained my symptoms to Dr. Aversa she looked at me and said â??I thought this was an emergency!â?? I came in today for you and I am not even scheduled to wok today!â?? Now to me this WAS an emergency and I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor or made to feel this way. I donâ??t like… calling the office and telling my problems to a stranger and now my doctor is making me feel like an idiot. Then she examined me and honestly the only reason I allowed her to do so was because I had no other options at that point.. She told me that I â??may or may notâ?? have an infection speaking to me like I was so below her and had some nerve wasting her time. I got no answers that day and when I walked out to the car I couldnâ??t believe what I had just witnessed. I think Dr. Aversa has a superiority complex and should not be allowed to deal with people. Maybe she should have been a vet instead. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT see Dr. Aversa! Learn from my terrible experience. I have since changed to a brand new doctor who will sit and listen to what I have to say and treats me like a human being.
