Summary
My name is Kris and I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I completed my B.A. in psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2003 and my M.A. in Contemplative Psychotherapy at Naropa University. I have worked with all different kinds of individuals and families and in a variety of settings including private practice, non-profit, residential care and corrections facility. A lot of my work was in-home therapy with foster children and their foster families. I have been in mental health for 23 years but I believe in approaching each client with an open-mind and allow clients to share about themselves.
I enjoy working with individuals, children and families to help them identify and achieve their goals. Therapy looks differently for everyone. Sometimes I help individuals learn coping skills for everyday life. Other clients want to improve the communication within their family. Clients may also have something in their past they want to work through or manage in a better …manner. I am happy to work with my clients to listen tot heir needs and I allow my clients to lead sessions where they may need to go.
