Dr. Kristen Lynn Guy, MD

My mother saw Dr. Guy yesterday. After waiting over 2 hours even though the office was empty, the doctor was came in agitated and her appearance was dirty and unhygienic - reminiscent of the bird lady from Home Alone. My mother came in after having a persistent cold/cough for a week and has a history of those turning into pneumonia. The doctor was in the room for maybe a minute, never even looked at her throat, and said she “doesn’t do antibiotics.” My mother left in tears. I don’t know why someone like this would be practicing medicine.

Terrible bedside manner. Seemed irked that I was taking up her time, even though I was the one who waited nearly 30 minutes. Dismissive, no compassion or concern, literally rolled her eyes during questions. Do better Argyros Center!

Dr Guy listened to what I had to say and didn’t judge me. She ordered a scan & it turned out ok. Glad I went in to St Vincent’s. The nursing care was good too.

This alleged doctor seems to believe that a person with a sustained resting heart rate of 143, a previous, documented history of 3 ablations for SVT, and who is calm, pleasant, and friendly to everyone, only has an extremely elevated heart rate because of 'anxiety' and their chest pains are 'acid reflux'...even if that person has never had acid reflux, and doesn't have anxiety. If you want to be disrespected, judged, ignored, not spoken to, and not even be able to see your doctor's face for the *twelve seconds* she actually spends with you out of the six hours you were there because she doesn't ever take her filthy yellow mask off and really can't be bothered with you anyway, this is definitely the person you want to see!!! She had the nerve to tell me I have 'white coat syndrome' (I don't), because my heart rate went up when she came in the room. You know what else will make your heart rate go up from as little exertion as sitting up and preparing to speak to someone? SVT. SVT will… do that. This person is a huge liability to any patient she sees and any ER she works in...mark my words.

Extremely judgmental, talked down to you, questioned why I was there and if I really had the issues I had, to warrant the ER visit. She lacked the knowledge to treat me, in my opinion, and told me to follow up with a specialist. I wasted hours in the ER for nothing and still feel just as bad as I did yesterday! I love St.Vincent's and all my doctors are through their network. I assumed that the ER Dr would have been just as amazing. I was wrong! I think in the several hours I was their in the ER, I saw her maybe a total of 5 minutes. Horrible and shameful. I left in tears!

Judgemental poor physician.
