Dr. Kristen Beth Pytynia, MD

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was fearful and confused. I called different places some were patient and some were not. A member of my church told me about MD Anderson. I called MD Anderson and I was given an appointment with a doctor that I feel was lead by God, Dr. Pytynia. Dr. Pytynia from my first visit with her, she made me feel comfortable and that she was on my side. She was knowledgeable, and kept me informed. And she let me know that I had a team of people behind me. She let me know that whatever decisions that were reached it was a team effort. She was efficient, kind, and supportive. She did not let grass grown under her feet. She was aggressive about whatever I needed done. Because cancer is aggressive. I thank God that I was lead to MD Anderson because they have an outstanding doctor name Dr. Pytynia, and God wanted her to be used by him. I trust Dr. Pytynia and I am grateful to her. She has outstanding nurses and staff. Dr. Pytyina thank you again for caring about… me and making me feel as if I was your only patient. May the blessings of God be with you and your family. I would like to Thank Dr Pytynia and her mean assistant Monica for giving me the worse Drs experience I ever received in my life. Although facts in Md Anderson system shows needed reason for concern . I overheard negative comments being said about my health from the drs gathering room at the other end of the building before and after my visit .Dr Pytynia demeanor is down right disgusting , not sure if she’s racist or just plain out rude . When a patient trusts you to help with health , that should be exactly what you should do . Not accuse the patient of lying about issues .Dr Kristen Pytynia and Monica Janek should learn bedside manners . Drs should be here to help not hurt .

Dr. Pytynia is an awesome doctor. My 31 yr old daughter was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue in Sept 2008. We were referred to her from another doctor. From the start, our entire family was impressed. Recently, my daughter had a recurrence, and Dr. Pytynia has acted with a sense of urgency to get the ball rolling to take care of my daughter. Her bedside manner is incredible. She is awesome!

Dr. Pytynia is an excellent doctor. We originally went to another doctor and was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. The original doctor did not explain things very well so we went out for a second opinion. We were referred to Dr. Pytynia by numerous individuals. Within minutes we were extremely impressed with her knowledge, staff, and bedside manner. We decided to switch to her and have been in excellent hands since.
