Dr. Kristen Elaine Smolik, MD

Melba Lewis, MD is board certified in otolaryngology - head and neck surgery, and practices in southwest Austin with the Austin Association of Otolaryngologists, PA. Dr. Lewis completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University in Houston, TX. She continued her education at the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston, where she studied cellular and molecular biology. Contributing to her diverse talents, Dr. Lewis attended dental school at both the University of Texas and the Case Western Reserve Dental School in Cleveland, OH. Returning to Texas, she pursued and completed her medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in Temple, TX. Post graduate training included a clinical research fellowship in head and neck cancer, and internship in general surgery at Scott & White and residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Dr. Lewis is a member of the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She is a diplomate of the …American Academy of Otolarynology, and a member of the American Academy of Facial and Plastic Surgery,a nd the American Association of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. Lewis is a proud mother of two children; Joseph and Jessica.
