Dr. Kristen Marie Wells, MD

I have irked with a number of surgeons and as I told her she's ranks at the top. She's personable, knowledgeable and could explain things easily to me. She listened and answered all my questions. She's a great surgeon and person!!

Dr. Wells could not have been more caring, clear and professional in her work with me. She was exceptional.

I had a very bad experience with this doctor. In my after surgery visit she bragged that she has made mistakes and has never been sued. In my case, she was confused by the medical imaging and did a much larger, more invasive and unnecessary surgery than I agreed to. I wrote the the standards board who said she is allowed to make mistakes. Eighteen months after surgery - there is horrendous scarring and chronic discomfort from the nerve damage Wells caused during the surgery. This woman is a terrible surgeon.

Great surgery for my breast cancer. Oncologist says her scars are some of the best he ever sees. Only took one surgery even though my cancer was on the big side. I got a second opinion but I’m glad I went with Dr. Wells.

Dr wells is very nice but her medical knowledge is way out of date. She talks like she knows about surgical oncology for breast cancer, but uses techniques that are 30 years old. Science has changed dramatically for surgical oncology and Dr Wells has not kept up. Very unskilled. Run away from this Dr. she is very nice and seems to care about her patients but that is not enough. You need intelligence and skill. Neither are here.

I can't tell you how much I dreaded having to see a surgeon. However, after the visit I wanted to come up with another reason to see her. Surgery was exactly as she predicted and it went without a hitch. Easy to talk to and very compassionate.

Easy to talk to, great bedside manner. Fixed my hernia with only 3 tiny cuts, healed fast. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Wells is one of the most talented doctors I have met. She spent time explaining things to my family and myself and my surgery went exactly as she predicted. I highly recommend her to anyone, and know she will be the surgeon for me and my family for life!

Dr Wells tells it as it is. No rig a ma roll, straight to the point. Some may see this as not being compassionate but she is quite the opposite. Very caring, truly cares about what's happening and how she can make it better. She didn't hush hush the post op pain and knew what I could expect and when this would get better and that. Very easy to talk to. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a surgeon in the Baraboo area.

You wouldn't think needing a surgeon would be a great experience but with this one it is! She's incredibly informative and really nice. My appointment lasted over an hour even though it was only scheduled for 45 min. Surgery was rather complicated but it went without a hitch. I wish she could be my regular doctor.
