Dr. Kristi Jo Mcintyre, MD

Dr. McIntyre is not only extremely rude and cold, but also incompetent. I waited over a month for an appointment (following a double blood transfusion in the ER) and she spent maybe 5 minutes with me. I was expecting her to go over my diagnosis but she had nothing definitive to say about my medical issues. There was no point in me coming in to see her since she wouldn't even answer my questions. Instead she rushed me out of her office. I also asked if she had gotten my records from my OB (at my appointment a month prior she said she would request them) and she told me the office had never responded to her requests. I then called my OB doctor myself and they told me that they had no requests from Dr. McIntyre's office. I asked for the records and got them the same day. Her nurse Nancy sent me home with a test kit (that was missing 2 items that I had to go back for), turns out she gave me a test they no longer process. Very frustrating experience!

Love Dr McIntyre. Out of my my multitude of doctors, she is the one I feel cares about me and my outcome.

Dr McIntyre and Nancy are very comforting. Dr Mc answered all my questions. She understood how scary everything was and never rushed through appointments!

I have been a patient of Dr McIntyre for 6 happy years. She was an integral part of curing my breast cancer. She does not have a cheery bedside manner, but she is an excellent doctor and will provide you with the best care available. I rated the wait time as "Moderate". Sometimes it moves very fast, other times, not so much. Overall, I would defintely recommend Dr. McIntyre!

While I am surprised by some of the positive reviews of this doctor I can only hope that maybe she is starting to get a clue as to how to treat people.I have to agree with the others who had bad experiences that she seemed rushed, certainly lacked compassion and showed no empathy. Maybe you just become hard as an oncologist so you don't feel. I really didn't feel like she cared about my concerns or fears. When I was having a hard time with a drug she had put me on, she poo pooed it. Thank goodness there are other good doctors who do care because I will never return to Texas Oncology

I agree with the other ladies. Dr McIntyre is extremely competent and conscientious and includes me in the process. I have a high level of trust in her and would recommend her without reservation.

Dr McIntyre has treated me for 4 1/2 years with compassion and answers all of my questions. My Breast Surgeon gave me a 10% chance of survival and Dr McIntyre put me into that 10%. I survived! She literally saved my life and gave me the years to see both my daughters married and the chance to see grandbabies. There are no words to describe my thanks to her and her staff (Tammy too). Hats off to Dr Bourland also!

Dr. McINtyre has a high level of compassion. I was refered to her by my first oncologist because of the clinical trials she had going on in her office. Normally I would interview a doctor, but my husband and I had great respect for Dr. Connor, so we went forward without hesitation. It was a very good move - and that's saying a LOT b/c we LOVED Dr. Connor. The research staff is amazing. The lab nurses were always upbeat and well prepared. They have a nurse in their lab that can actually draw blood and you don't feel the needle ... it is something she should teach to every other draw nurse out there! Absolutley LOVE these people and this facility.

She doesn't spend enough time with me. She rushes in and rushes me. If I have another question after she leaves the room she will send her nurse in, instead of calming my fears herself. I usually get more information from her nurse than from her. She has a cold frigid personality, she may know breast cancer but she has little people skills.She can be very dry, with little compassion. I wish I had chosen another oncologist!

Dr. McIntyre has been treating me for 12 years. She is the reason I am alive today. She is extremely intelligent and goes the extra mile for her patients. I had/have a very rare cancer and she found the only doctor in the country, maybe the world, that studies and does research on it and sent me there for a second opinion before starting chemo. When I had a recurrence last year, she worked together with him to give me the best possible treatment. Her staff is knowledgable, compassionate and kind. As much as I hate having an oncologist, I'm glad it's her.
