I arrived at Coastal Vascular and Vein for a procedure on my legs. Dr Hochberg was the attending physician. He was very knowledgeable and kept me aware of what he was doing. He was very friendly and professional. He has a very pleasant bedside manner, which is very important to me. I highly recommend this facility. All the employees are are great from the front to the back.

Dr. Hochberg performed the first of 5 procedures on June 2, 2025. I opted not to take the calming meds I was offered. I was a bit nervous but his bedside manner put me at ease. The procedure went perfectly. I was comfortable and experienced no pain during it. He was assisted by Marie and I appreciate the care taken by both of these folks. I'm hoping this trend continues through the other four procedures.

Dr. Hochberg performed surgery on my fistula to "unclog" the veins. Even put a stent in. It's 3 days after the surgery & the veins are clotting again. Therefore, no dialysis treatment until another surgery is performed! He hurt me in surgery with no regard to the pain he put me through. He just chuckled when I told him that he was hurting me. He said I must have sensitive skin. I've had this surgery at least 10 times in the past & this is the first time I've felt pain during & after the procedure. Three days later & it's still hurting. I also thought it was inappropriate for him to be mocking someone else's voice for awhile in order to get a laugh out of the OR staff. Dr. Fortuna, in the Murrells Inlet office, is the doctor to see. Great bedside manner & very attentive to your care. Like night & day.
