Dr. Kristin Josef Dobay, MD

I came to Dr Dobay during a very difficult time in my life. I was in the middle of a divorce, my Mother was dying from lung cancer. My Step Mother had just passed away from Alzheimer’s. I had experienced physical and mental abuse and was forced to leave my dream home that my husband and I built 15 years earlier. I had to move from my home to get away from my husband who I was afraid to stay with. I was trying to handle all of this without involving my family and keeping this secret from my coworkers, who knew my husband. I loved my job and all this was causing stress on that job. I still performed my duties and did a good job at what I did. But because of moving to another part of town I was tardy 5 or 6 times because of the increased traffic that I was not use to. When I saw Dr Dobay and his nurse they could tell by looking at me, that I was at my breaking point. I really was. I explained to him that I needed my IUD removed because it was way past due and that I did not need any other… Birth Control because I was going through a divorce with the only man I had ever been with. He looked at me and said did he do this to you? I just started crying. Not only did Dr Dobay and the office staff take care of my medical needs, they helped me through the most difficult time of my life. He and his office were a Godsend for me. He even wrote a letter to my employer, asking for understanding with my current situation. That was 7 years ago almost and I’m a very happy person. I remarried a wonderful man and are able to do volunteer work that helps others that were in the same situation. I’ve not seen Dr Dobay lately but I pray he comes back soon. It’s difficult to find a good doctor that really cares about his patients.

Waited hours to been seen. Only time was ever checked was at my first appointment. Had my baby at 38 weeks and was never checked to see if dilated.

Had to wait 2 hours with a 1 year old in the office to be then put in a room for another 45 min. The doctor came in with a student, didnt introduce her talked to me for 1 min talked to her for 5 and that was it. I was really upset and was suppose to have been seen at 1pm I left at 3:45-3:50. I never came to see this doctor again the first time I waited 1 hour and thought ok no problem. Should have been weary when I was asked to provide urine in a small paper drinking cup. I work in healthcare and know this is not how you treat your patients. My time is important too not just yours!

I always look forward to seeing him as my OB provider. He is very honest and realistic with his answers about the concerns/questions I had.

After my histerctomy he didt't went to my room at the hospital to talk to me or my family, i did't know what happen or what he found until a week later in a fallow up aptt.

Dr Dobay was wonderful throughout my entire pregnancy. Being a first time mom I was incredibly nervous about a lot of things and he usually calmed my fears. He answered every question and I never felt rushed. The MAJOR but only downside was every single appointment I was waiting for 1-3 hours past my appointment time to be seen. I am a very busy person, work and school full time, and dont have time to sit in a doctors office all day waiting to be seen. For this reason I will be changing doctors but it seems to be an office staff organizational problem. Dr Dobay is great as long as you don't mind waiting.

Dr. Dobay was running behind in seeing patients, due to having been in surgery, but I never felt rushed when I was able to be seen. I was a new patient and had to go over my history and concerns and he listened patiently and intently even though there were other patients waiting. He was very thorough in explaining what was actually causing my health issues and what he was going to do to eradicate them. He is extremely personable and professional. I would recommend Dr. Dobay to any and all women who are in need of an OB/GYN.

I had fibroids that caused me severe pain and heavy bleeding. Dr. Dobay was able to treat me with a single incision laparoscopic hysterectomy. Other doctors wanted to do my hysterectomy through a large incision in my abdomen. He was very compassionate and discussed / explained all of my options with me. Dr. Dobay is the best!

Dr. Dobay was very reliable and has the best bed side manner. This was my first child and I couldn't have been a more nervous until I met Dr. Dobay. My husband and I really like the fact that he would treat you like a person and not a number. He was very comforting and I would tell anyone to choose him for a pleasant experience and a compassionate Dr. You will really appreciate and cherish a Dr. like this.

Dr. Dobay takes his time to listen and answer all questions, performs thorough examinations, and is very well mannered. I am thrilled to have him as my doctor and surgeon.
