Dr. Kristin Mccullough Elliot, DDS

Dr. Kristin, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is originally from Watseka, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in three years before moving to Chicago.
Dr. Kristin received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While in dental school she enjoyed participating in service opportunities to promote oral health for children in the Chicagoland area. She also traveled to both Fort Lupton, Colorado, and a remote village in the Yucatan peninsula for dental service trips treating multiple families in need. Receiving acknowledgements for her service and academic accomplishments, she graduated with honors from UIC dental school. Given the love she has for children and teaching, pediatric dentistry was the natural choice for Dr. Kristin.
Dr. Kristin completed her pediatric dental residency at Northwestern University where she served as chief pediatric dental resident at …Children’s Memorial Hospital. Being a hospital-based program, she was trained extensively in treating medically compromised children. One of Dr. Kristin's passions in pediatric dentistry is management of dental trauma. She has given numerous presentations to her dental colleagues as well as the Emergency Department physicians at Children's Memorial Hospital. While a resident, she completed research on a cutting-edge material used for nerve treatments and was able to present her findings at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists annual conference in Washington, DC. Dr. Kristin is currently on staff at Children's Memorial Hospital in the department of surgery.
Dr. Kristin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Less than half of children's dentists nationwide receive this distinction. Dr. Kristin completed her boards in the shortest time frame possible following residency. She is also an Illinois State Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Kristin holds a position on the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentistry board, and serves on the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentists, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Kristin enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, Dan Elliot, is originally from Ontario, Canada, and is currently a commercial real estate broker in the West Loop. They enjoy many activities—traveling, volleyball, running marathons, snowboarding, music, cooking, and eating desserts. They are both avid sports fans and love cheering for their favorite Chicago teams, especially the Bears! Dr. Kristin is known for her sweet tooth and can offer many tricks to having both a sweet tooth and a healthy smile.
