Dr Hedge is excellent. What we thought the problem was with my fingers was not at all, and Dr Hedge explained it very well. She explained various potential treatments them ruled them out based on her physical exam. I liked that she was conservative, reassuring, and had recommendations for improvment.

CHANGES INSURANCE WITHOUT NOTICE! Then sends you a bill. Totally unprofessional. Thank God you have other choices in New Bern.

After waiting 6 weeks for a scheduled appointment, waiting 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I was told there would be another 1 1/2 hour wait. I asked to reschedule and was told her next available appointment was another 6 weeks away. If my wrist didn’t hurt, I wouldn’t have made an appointment to see Dr. Hedge. I have now made an appointment to see a hand specialist in another city. Not an option for zero stars ??

I have been a RN for over 40 years and have never had the privilege of working with a surgeon as amazing as Dr. Hedge. She is professional, caring, attentive with a phenomenal bedside manner. No question she is a top notch surgeon. Very difficult diagnosis with my elderly father in law and was spot on with the correct diagnosis before even making her first incision! If you have the privilege of having Dr. Hedge as your surgeon, you do not need to entertain a second opinion. Thank you!

Waited almost two months for an appointment. Showed up at 1:30 for my 1:45 appt., did not see the doctor until 3:20. Had to step out of the exam room to ask if she was going to see me, she came soon after. She certainly did not rush through my appointment and was very thorough discussing my issue and treatment (surgery). She came highly recommended, but the practice has to work on getting their patients seen in a timely manner.

I saw Dr. Hedge for ulnar nerve decompression. I had the needle test done prior to my visit with her by another doctor and it came back normal. Based on what I was telling her, she felt confident that was the case and comfortable enough to do surgery. My pinky and ring finger on my left hand had been numb for over 6 months. As soon as I woke up from surgery, I had complete feeling back. Recovery was easy. She was super easy to talk to and I would highly recommend her to anyone!
