Dr. Kristin Cantley Koush, MD

Dr. Koush was my children's pediatrician for the first 4 and 6 years of their lives, respectively. I am an MD myself in a different field, and she was always up to date on the latest guidelines and able to explain her reasoning behind every decision and could point me to the data that supported it. As a result I trusted her implicitly- if she said my child's fever was viral, I accepted her judgement and rode it out. Likewise, she was quick to recognize when something was more serious and treat accordingly. In addition, her bedside manner is wonderful-so friendly and caring and respectful when answering my questions or addressing my concerns. We have since moved out of state to the suburban northeast and in the last 4 years, I have struggled to find a pediatrician or family physician in my new area that can hold a candle to Dr. Koush. Their diagnostic skills have been weak, their bedside manner dismissive and combative, and their knowledge of the latest treatment guidelines… lacking. As a result, both of my children have suffered needlessly through months of misdiagnosis and poor treatment on several occasions. Thank your lucky stars if Dr. Koush treats your children.

Top of her class in med school, elected chief resident during residency, and outstanding clinical, communication and interpersonal skills. What more could you ask for in a doctor? Our daughter loves her, and we do too. If you're lucky enough to have her take care of your kid, grab the opportunity :)

She has taken care of both of my little girls and calmed me many times when I was about to panic about this or that. Would definitely recommend her to my own family. Great doctor. A little hard to get an appointment is the only problem

We love Dr. Koush, but more importantly our daughter loves her and that good rapport makes all of our visits so much easier.

Dr Koush is fantastic. Sometimes the office wait is long but when ever I do see her she is certainly worth the wait. So kind to our children and always let's our eldest (4) "help" her with the little ones check up. Very cute.

We just moved to Houston this summer and love our new pediatrician. She is excellent with the kids and always very helpful and informative. Can't say enough good things about her!

We love Dr Koush so much that we plan our vacations to Houston around our son and daughters doctor visits. Shortly after our first son was born we moved to NYC and were VERY sad to leave Dr Koush. Now, every time we come back to Houston we make sure to do our check up appointments with her. I could not recommend her enough. She has a staggered vaccine schedule and has been VERY open to our thoughts on vaccines.
