Dr. Kristin Elizabeth Lowe, MD

Every time I interact with Dr. Lowe I feel like I am inconveniencing her. She is rude and seems like she does not want to interact with patients. She has failed to provide me with important information about my condition and course of treatment. I find her to be dismissive of my concerns about pain. Find another urologist even if you have to drive an hour to Columbus.

I went in for urinary retention. I’m a young male (under 40), so I know urinary retention for my age isn’t common. Dr. Lowe catheterized me, ran a void test, and sent me home after teaching me to self-catheterize. No tests were run and nothing else was checked. I decided to get a second opinion a few days later, and am I glad I did! It turns out my prostate was enlarged due to an infection. Dr. Lowe never checked my prostate! How long would I have gone with an infection or needing to self-catheterize had I not gotten a second opinion elsewhere? Isn’t it basic urology to first check the prostate when a male patient can’t pass urine?

Dr. Lowe, you and the nurse that assisted my surgery acted very professional. I can not say that about your staff. Your receptionist will call out your first and last name very loud, will say out loud my address, phone number and other private information. I had info. written down for her but she must have wanted EVERYONE in the waiting room and inside the office to here my info. She and everyone else really gets a kick out of this. I am going to see an attorney about this HIPPA violation. There is no doubt about the smiles, looks and smirks . I will never recommend anyone to go there. Just visiting your toxic waiting room is enough to let people know to go else where. Just ask your staff about this event, they will know who your talking about, look at there faces and you will know I speak the truth. By far the worst experience I’ve had dealing with staff that could care less. Your ratings were already really bad, could it be the staff you have? Sooo if you want privacy, go… elsewhere and you won’t be made fun of by this ridiculous staff..... Sincerely, Richard E Walker........
