Dr. Kristin Berlin Madonia, MD

I was sent to this doctor by my optometrist because of eye movement issues and nystagmus. At my visit she was very much unconcerned and spent maybe 5 minutes in the room with me. Stated my problem was coming from something happening in the brain and that she would pull my records from other doctors I had seen and would get back with me for the next steps in testing. I never heard back from this doctor & I continue to suffer daily with vision issues and falling because of dizziness from my vision. She is very uncaring and I do not recommend wasting your time because she will not help you but you will receive a bill right away.

After waiting for over an hour and requiring, I was informed by office staff that it can take two hours or more to be seen. As 2+ hours exceeds the reasonable amount of expected wait time, this information should have been disclosed during initial scheduling. It’s very pertinent for working parents with dependents. Their lack of informed consent ended up derailing my day, and prohibited me from getting necessary healthcare. This isn’t a luxury service being rendered, this lack of care greatly negatively impacts my life. The staff was neither apologetic nor considerate. I wish I had been forewarned beforehand, so I hope this review provides that courtesy to others.

Dr. Madonia is one of those physicians that comes along once in a lifetime-if you're lucky. She is not only an expert in her field, but is compassionate and caring. She will take time to listen and answer questions. As busy as she is she will go above and beyond to help you find the best solutions for your particular problem. She has been the light in my dark tunnel.

After driving 2 1/2 hours in the rain, we left with the doctor would check on some things and be in touch. Eight weeks later we can’t seem to get anyone to answer questions or follow through with returning calls. We were referred to a specialist. However, nothing has been resolved and there has been absolutely NO communication. Extremely frustrating.

Not impressed. My eye doctor stated that I needed to go see Dr Madonia, as soon as possible, as my optic nerve was swollen and bleeding behind my eye. I was scheduled to see her in 2 days. When I got there, all sorts of tests were performed, including a dye test where the girl could NOT FIND A VEIN and I was black and blue for days. Of the blood tests performed, all $200.00 of them, they all came up negative. I was sent to a retinal specialist, Dr. Fuller, in her office and when I went to see him, they tried to do the exact same tests that I had done 1 week earlier. He prescribed 4 more blood tests and an ultrasound of my carotid artery. Again, all normal results. Then, I was told to make an appointment for 6 week followup...I guess it isn't that big of a deal after all. Anyway, I've cancelled my future appointments with them and I've made an appointment with another doctor. I will swing by to pick up the results of all of the negative tests.

I was referred to a different doctor at VisionSource who was booked out until April. So I asked if there was another doctor they recommended. They recommended Dr. Madonia. She came in introduced herself and obviously had read my chart. I was there to have cyst removed. She looked me over pretty good even mentioning the C word and assured me it was not that and gave me my options which were to watch it or remove it. I was there to get it removed so I said remove it. They called me back and gave me an eye drop. Then she said she needed to numb me and that would be the worst of it. It was just a little uncomfortable but nothing and only lasted about 5 seconds. Thank God she counted. Lol She did her thing and asked me if I was okay which I thought was very professional. When I was done, she said we're done. I thanked her. I was in and out in less than an hour. This was today so it's fresh on my mind. I was very impressed.
