I was a patient here for a very short time, despite being in Stage 3 Renal Failure, based on months worst of tests which showed kidney issues, which my regular doctor failed to notify me existed. I repeatedly had to beg for help from this practice, and ultimately, was given such a runaround, I couldn't believe it. I wound up in the hospital just a week after seeing them, where I was severely dehyrated. After being flushed full of fluids, and going without any medications (as i had developed toxicity), my kidney function tested normal (which it would). So, they didn't see any reason to see me, despite a long list of serious symptoms, which left me in a 3 month loop trying to get into see a different doctor, when 7 out of the 21 nephrologists in Buffalo are at this practice. In short, I was left without help during significant illness. I made a formal complaint to the NYS Medical Board, which is useless, and sides with physicians, no matter how incompetent they may be. So, this is… a cautionary tale for others. If a doctor gives you the brush off, don't let them talk you down. If you know something is wrong, find somebody else, and be very careful about believing everything they tell you without a second, or even third, opinion. Your life may depend on it, because with kidney and liver issues, things can go downhill fast, and basic kidney and liver tests don't reveal cancer, or a host of other problems which could be life threatening.
