Dr. Kristin Patzkowsky, MD

Not sure who these patients are writing these reviews, but Dr. Kristin was amazing during our visit. She spent a lot of time thoroughly explaining to me my medical condition and the options available to remedy my situation. I was highly impressed and am looking forward to having her as the surgeon for my procedure. I highly recommend her.

I was there for pelvic pain, with a recent history of pelvic floor muscle spasms that started after a hysterectomy for cancer, which was done by another doc at Hopkins. Dr. Patzkowsky came across as snobby and like I was simply a problem because she could not figure out what was causing my pain. She said my pelvic floor muscles were not tight, but pelvic floor specialists that I've seen since and before Dr. Patzkowsky have both said the muscles are very tight, which is causing my pain (myalgia). She may be good for endometriosis, I don't know, but in my experience, she was terrible at evaluating pelvic pain from other causes. Didn't even care enough to do any kind of imaging. Just sent me to pelvic PT. Honestly, I got the feeling from the moment she walked into the treatment room that she thought I was making it all up; either that or she just didn't care. A terrible representative of Johns Hopkins. If all Hopkins doctors were like her, I would never return.

She did not give me a good impression on the first meeting that was via online. She was seen visibly irritated that I was a few minutes late. Regardless of this I wanted to give her benifit of the doubt. I came to my physical appointment early. I was left waiting for almost 20 minutes in a patient room. She did not appeared bothered at all by her being late. In addition to this, the response she had for my issue went from hormonal control with medicine straight to exploratory surgery in combination of the use of an IUD. These are known to cause women additional issues and also men. In addition to this, one of the IUD brands have a recall. She seemed very interested in performing this exploratory surgery procedure she spoke of in detail and IUD. I am beyond horrified by her responses and overall behavior.

Dr. Patzkowsky was very patient and loving. She explained everything to me before and after surgery. I was very scared and she and her team was AWESOME! I love John's Hopkins team! THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. The physicians, anesthesiologists, nurses, techs and everyone was the best!

Good listener! I felt that if she didn’t think she was fit for the situation she definetly would say so. She was very knowledgeable with answers to any questions I had. I left her office with a feeling of being in great hands and look forward to seeing her again soon. Her staff was also very professional and the place was very clean! Thanks Dr!

I came to her after another endometriosis specialist did not do a thorough job with my TAH/BSO and I had urological complications that my first surgeon refused to admit to. Dr Patz did a very thorough work up, consulted with other experts, had my case reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of experts at Hopkins, and then along with a urological surgeon and a GYN-ONC surgeon carefully put me back together again. I am a healthcare professional and she listed to me, took me seriously, and is academic in her approach. She answered me honestly. I have been so happy with her, I have brought my daughter and also my cousin's wife to her. We've all been very pleased.

she botched my surgery, and clipped my uterus with the tool. left me in recovery claiming that she did not make a mistake. i was there for 9 hours and ended up bleeding internally and spending a additional 4 days in the hospital due to her mistake which she later admitted. I am now unable to get pregnant. I was able to get pregnant before her. Her bedside manner is not good. she never came to visit me after she was forced to return to the hospital to do my recovery surgery. TRUST ME, a cocky doctor is a untrustworthy doctor. She made a huge mistake that cost me in the long run.

I'm reading some bad reviews and I'm not understanding how anyone can say anything bad about Dr. Patzkowsky. She's very kind! She answered all of questions in detail. She's an amazing surgeron! She did a great job on a very complex surgery that no Doctor in my area would take on. She's very skilled and talented, she's the best!!! I was so very lucky to have her preform my surgery.

Did not listen to me. Very dismissive, rude, acted like I was an idiot. Questioned me on other health issues completely unrelated. Made me feel horrible and helpless. Complete waste of time.

She is through in her diagnosis. the waiting time to see her was about 15 minutes. The nurse was friendly.
