Originally from Hoisington, Kansas, Dr. Pierce graduated Summa Cum Laude from Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2004. She then attended the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, TN. While at SCO, Dr. Pierce completed various externships, gaining valuable clinical experience in primary care optometry, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease. Dr. Pierce graduated from SCO in 2008 with highest honors and was valedictorian of her class. Dr. Pierce is a member of the Kansas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She is also the recipient of numerous awards, including the SCO Outstanding Clinician Award and the VSP Award of Excellence. She is currently licensed to practice in both Kansas and Missouri. Dr. Pierce has been an optometrist with Overland Park Eye Center since 2008. She strives to provide thorough, comprehensive eye care in a family-friendly setting. She values a strong …doctor-patient relationship and places emphasis on the importance of patient education. In her free time, Dr. Pierce enjoys spending time with her husband, Dustin, and their two children, Dylan and Landon. She can often be found volunteering at her sons’ school or cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
