Dr. Kristina Humphries, MD

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kristina Humphries for several years, including through two pregnancies, and unfortunately, I can no longer recommend her care. She diagnosed me with Hashimoto’s during my first pregnancy, yet despite having the same symptoms and complaints for years, she has done nothing to address them. Her approach is to treat lab results, not the patient. Each visit feels the same: she prescribes levothyroxine, barely engages during appointments, stares at her computer, orders bloodwork, and then adjusts the dosage based solely on numbers. My symptoms and concerns have been repeatedly ignored. To make matters worse, despite knowing that I’m seeing a new endocrinologist tomorrow, she refused to give me lab orders for updated bloodwork. This means I won’t have the most current information for my new doctor to properly treat me. I found this behavior petty, unprofessional, and not in the best interest of patient care.

I am not a patient. I wanted to be. I have hypothyroidism and was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis. My medical provider gave me my records and recommended that I see an endocrinologist for these dual problems. I called to get an appointment, but office staff informed me that I could not provide my own records, that my medical provider had to do so. I was further informed that I could not make an appointment until my medical provider had done so. I felt that I was being very disrespected. I believe Dr. Humphries is likely a fine doctor but I doubt that I will find out.

Dr. Humphries is a really good doctor that takes time and interest in her patients. Has really great nurse as well. She really knows her stuff. Recommend highly!

Dr. Humphries is a fantastic doctor with an awesome bedside manner. She listens to me and gives me sound advise on my treatment of diabetes. I would highly recommend her as an endocrinologist in the Greater Lexington area. Her staff is curteous, professional and her assistant has prompt follow up when I call.

I just love Dr. Humphries. She has done a wonderful job getting my thyroid straightened out. Dr. Humphries has been wonderful to me. I just love her.
