Dr. Kristine Agnes Knapp, MD

I went in for a follow up at the emergency room. As soon as she entered, her first words was “I think you miscarried.” And wanted to abort the baby. She literally had me crying so hard the nurse had to get me a drink so I didn’t pass out. I argued and said no I didn’t think my baby was dead. My hug levels were perfect, the baby measured to date on the ultrasound, but they did not take the time to find a heartbeat because I was only 6 weeks. The fact that they didn’t get the heart beat was enough for her to try and abort my baby. I finally convinced her to check my levels again. This was all on a Friday. I asked how long it would take for the results and she said “Monday. We are not open on the weekends. This isn’t McDonald’s”. She then insisted I call my boyfriend so SHE could talk to him, and told him the same things she told me. That there was no hope and she will check my levels but to plan for a d&c. I drove myself insane all weekend not knowing what was going on. Monday I get the… call that my levels are great. They got me in (a different doctor handled it after Friday) for an ultrasound instantly, and my baby is alive and doing excellent. If I would not have stood my ground or got a 2nd opinion, she would have convinced me to abort my baby. She was very rude and almost seemed excited to tell me she thought my baby was dead. She was shooting down any piece of hope I had, was very negative, and was very persistent on the fact that my pregnancy had ended. I filed a formal complaint and switched doctors immediately. She is cold hearted and should not be allowed to practice

I am a case manager for a foster care agency. I went in today with one of my foster children who is a teenager and she was wanting to be placed on birth control and learn about her options. She was extremely rude and asked this girl around 4-5 times about her sexual activity. She asked straight up while I was in the room, “do YOU want to be on birth control?” Assuming that our agency was forcing her to come in and get birth control. She compared pregnancy to being worse than diseases. She kept telling this foster child that she was “too young to be having sex”, literally lectured this young girl for around 15-20 mins. Telling this teenager she should stay away from boys... (how is this realistic). This teenage girl went in wanting to make sure she was safe from teenage pregnancy and this doctor belittle this young girl. She was so disrespectful to both me and this young girl. Kept talking over both her and I. She was not actually ever listening. SO abrasive. It’s so hard to… get teenagers to practice safe sex and be protected. This was her first time at a gynecologist and she was so angry and traumatized.

Dr. Knapp is incredibly kind. She's professional and stays up to date on the latest in her field. She gave me her focused attention for a lengthy first consult, and she offered helpful advice with an excellent bedside manner.

I found Dr. Knapp rude - she acted like it was an inconvenience to have to see me. She was extremely rough with my exam, treated me like I was old and insignificant. Won't be seeing her again! She acted as if she was more important than me. Horrible bedside manner.

On call when I came to check and see if my pain was normal for pregnancy. Never seen before as obgyn. Before getting my entire background or history she jumped to conclusions and assumed I was an unfit mother and wasn't hesitant to voice said opinion. Was stuck in lol short and delivery for 12 hours with only having seen her once for 5 minutes and that was to do the judging. No one made sure monitors were checked properly and baby or I could of had dropped in vitals. I only seen her once and no one informed me of anything that was wrong and why I was expecting severe back pain. She then proceeds to involve my 7 year old yet again without having seen him herself. A week later I was rushed into er for emergency c section due to low blood pressure for me and low heart rate for baby. Things that would have been missed if I were in Knapp's care the week prior. Luckily baby and I are safe because of the weekend nurses and the doctor I had been seeing for pregnancy originally.

I was scared to go in to see her the first time, because all these bad reviews lol. I expected a mean ogre didn't even make eye contact with her when she walked in the room. But then she walked over shook my hand and started talking. Yes she does things without explaining them while she is asking you about your job, kids, the weather, but she is super nice. And I think she is just trying to distract you from everything else, which totally worked in my case. Maybe the bad reviews are for a different dr. by the same name I don't know. The Kristine Knapp I just met, was so fun and easy to talk to!

Dr Knapp is so rude. My first female appointment and the entire time she was examining me she was talking to my mother about her job and other things. She didnt even give me a sheet to cover myself with. She opened the gown for my breast exam without warning in front of my mom and boyfriend. I get that any time at a female appointment is to some degree uncomfortable but she really hurt me. Then made really inappropriate comments about vagina and my boyfriend to me in front of my mother. At a different visit where i had to see her because no other doctor was working at the hospital, she did the same things and kept talking about other patients. She even said their full names and things that was wrong with them and what city they lived in. I was so nervous i was really shaking the entire time and she didnt try anything to calm me. I was in the stirrups and had to wait like that for five to six minutes because she was talking to the nurse about stuff not related to examining me at all.… Very embarrassing for me.

she don't like to listen to her patients, just tells them what they are doing wrong, even thou they are not doing anything wrong. likes to argue, even disagrees with something out of her area, like a dietitians recommendation. i would not recommend her to anyone!
