Dr. Kristine Shigeko Yoshida, DDS

Dr. Kristine Yoshida is a graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry. After graduating with honors from UCLA, she completed a one-year general practice residency at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital. As one of only four residents chosen for this competitive program, she received extensive training in all aspects of general dentistry. Meeting patients, getting to know them on a personal level, and promoting oral health for whole-body health is what drew her to the dental field. Dr. Yoshida has greatly enjoyed building long term relationships with her patients and their families and with her local community of Big Bear.Continuing education is very important to Dr. Yoshida. Her passion is beautifying smiles. She has completed hundreds of hours of education in restorative and preventive dentistry. She is most proud of completing a year-long cosmetic dentistry residency with a renown cosmetic dentist, and her advanced Invisalign training with an elite group of general dentists in the U.S. …Every year her entire team attends classes, seminars, and training together so they can stay current in the ever-changing field of dentistry. Dr. Yoshida believes in paying it forward. Much of her spare time is devoted to volunteering in her community and abroad. She currently serves on the DOVES Board, and is an active member of Soroptimist International of Big Bear Valley. Dr. Yoshida also assists the Big Bear Rotary Club in organizing yearly dental screenings at all the elementary schools in Big Bear. Dr. Yoshida has volunteered her dental services in Guatemala and regularly in her community. For her efforts, Dr. Yoshida has received a Women of Distinction Award from Senator Mike Morrell, the Soroptimist of the Year Award, and the Rotary Eagle of Excellence Award.Although Dr. Yoshida is proud of her dental career and practice, her family is the source of her biggest pride. She has been married to her college sweetheart, Jeff Pellegrini for 26 years and has two amazing sons, Cole and Connor (both are engineering students). As a family, they enjoy traveling the globe, scuba diving, cooking together, and laughing together.
