Dr. Kristopher Lund Jensen, MD

About 1998, I was assigned to him because I was "new" Medicaid. (I lost my commercial insurance.) While 30-ish, I had an auto-immune neurological and GI disease and longstanding allergies. A half hour twice a year is inadequate. This was before the opiate explosion but I had a prescription for Klonopin from my neurologist for tightness of sudden onset in the fingers of one hand affecting my ability to drive. First off, I do not recall getting a referral to a specialist at all. I remember choosing my own, and with insurance in Vermont in that era, I did not need a referral fortunately. I did find it odd -- and sexist -- that many times when I called him for a refill, the dose would increase, not that I took the extra because I knew 1) I didn't need it , and 2) it would create tolerance, so if my symptoms worsened and I needed an increase, it may not work. I never asked him why he did it, and presume my medical complaints were diagnosed/dismissed as anxiety, and like a '60s housewife,… this would make my life somewhat happier or easier or "cure' my latest medical issue. I basically avoided him and did not get a real PCP until a few years later when a move combined with luck matched with someone helpful, where I have stayed for nearly 20 years. When the topic of PCPs has arisen over the years, and I would hear his name, I never heard a single positive comment. This zebra does not change his stripes. And no, these were not people on an opiate replacement program, not to my knowledge.

My Family Dr. retired and I feel very fortunate to find Dr. Jensen. Lovely office and staff. No waiting.

I was thoroughly satisfied with Dr. Jensen. He is a caring, empathetic and sensitive human being and an credit to the medical profession. I reject the other bad reviews I have read about dr. Jensen attributing those to disgruntled narcotics abusers who were denied a prescription for their next fix.

He was patronizing and arrogant. He said there was nothing wrong with me and "to suck it up and get a job." Needless to say I got a second opinion. Tests clearly show I have SEVERE damage in my back and both SI joints! I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone!
