Dr. Kristopher Joseph Selke, DO

It appears the other person who reviewed Dr Selke met a completely different physician than I did. I found Dr Selke, over repeated visits, to be highly intelligent, extremely thorough, and very knowledgeable and up to date in his field. He listens carefully, doesn't run tests merely for the sake of padding his wallet, and can always provide evidence-based rationale for why he wishes to prescribe a medication or order a test or procedure. He'll tell you straight if you need to stop smoking or watch what you eat. I suppose some people don't take kindly to being told the truth. He's done many, many heart procedures and is hardly some rank amateur or someone's "assistant" who's new to the field. If you're looking for a doctor to coddle you but ultimately let you die of heart disease, then I wouldn't recommend Dr Selke for you.

I would not recommend Dr. Selke. He thinks that he knows more than he actually knows. He is very arrogant. He is extremely young in age, young in profession and young in maturity. He does not have the ability to think outside the box from a diagnosis perspective. He just doesn't have the seasoning in the field and hasn't seen enough cases to have a solid understanding and patient baseline to go from. As a result, he is not able to offer much at all outside from what a test result may indicate. This is very dangerous because many times cardiac tests only provide a limited view into the overall problem. He doesn't have the experience. He would be a good assistant to an actual cardiologist but he does't have the experience to handle actual cardiac issues on his own.
