Dr. Kristopher George Stockton, MD

Dr. Stockton took the time to thoroughly evaluate my foot, identify the issue, and then determine the appropriate treatment. He demonstrated excellent bedside manner, carefully assessing my foot, offering clear suggestions, and even ensuring that my insurance would cover the boot he provided for the next month. He also arranged a follow-up visit a month later. Dr. Stockton was compassionate, attentive, and took great care to listen to exactly where my pain was. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a foot and ankle surgeon in the Round Rock or Austin area.

If you have broken your calcaneus (heel bone) be wary of using this doctor as your first or even second opinion. My suggestion is to go to a foot specialist instead. 7.5 months after breaking my heel I was only 1/3rd of the way healed with no answers and no real action plan. Went to a foot specialist and the reasonings were quickly discovered (for sure needed surgery in the beginning and I should have never been put in PT). The specialist quickly scheduled me for surgery to fill my nonunion fracture with bone cells and stem cells. I am now expected to make a full recovery 3 months post surgery which will be almost 1 year from my break. This very long year and journey could have been avoided if I went straight to a specialist. Doc Stockton is apparently one of the best at TX Ortho, but he carried a very nonchalant attitude while I was his patient and never showed me my X rays (not a single one). I am not one to complain or post bad reviews but I'm leaving this one with the hopes… that someone can avoid my fate in the future.

Excellent attention to detail. Appointment, checking, wait. Outstanding team. Nurse, PA, and Dr. Stockton. Let me no all the where and why. Help in treatment decisions and answered questions I wouldn't think to have asked.. Highly recommended

I've had two appointments - both times they make you wait over an hour. Not that great of service.

Dr. Stockton is kind, smart, articulate and practical. I always feel that he heard my questions and respects my need to know everything about my situation; his explanations about my situation are so helpful that I do not worry about not understanding enough to make an informed decision. He has helped my preserve my ability to walk comfortably despite my complicated and painful problems with my right foot ( and I about 74 years old). I cannot recover any doctor I have ever seen more highly.

While spending time in Texas, I experienced a trauma injury to my leg requiring surgery. My encounter with Dr. Stockton has been one of the most positive interaction I’ve had with a doctor in my entire life. He pulled out the all the stops to take care of my injury and get me on my way back home in as short order of time as possible. He did it with compassionate and concerning care. I couldn’t have asked for better treatment. Despite the traumatic injury, I will regard it in my memory as a positive experience.

Dr Stockton is INCREDIBLE. If you have an ankle or foot issue, see him! I broke my right fibula and a lot of ligaments in my right ankle on a Sunday, saw Dr Stockton on that Monday, and was in surgery at 6am that Tuesday morning. I am so grateful he was able to see me and do the surgery.

Doctor Stockton is the best in austin. I highly recommend him and his team. They took great care of me and I’m forever grateful!

My case is complicated and although it sounds odd, I'm glad he didn't make an immediate diagnosis...preferring to think, study images, and weigh options. I appreciate a thoughtful approach.
