Dr. Krunalkumar A. Patel, MD

I became interested in cardiology after seeing both the research and the hands-on care side of the field. During training, I watched how treating heart conditions can make a huge difference in people’s lives. I also came to value preventive care—helping patients stay healthy and avoid problems before they start. That combination is what led me to choose cardiology.
I have a special interest in preventing heart disease and caring for people with conditions like heart failure, arrhythmias and coronary artery disease. I focus on using proven treatments and strategies that lower risk and improve long-term health. I also enjoy teaching patients about their heart and giving them the tools to take an active role in their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing volleyball and cricket. I also love spending time with family, especially over good food and conversation. Community health is important to me too—I enjoy being part of outreach events like blood pressure checks, CPR …awareness and heart health education.
When I care for patients, I aim to be thorough and follow the best evidence, but just as importantly, I listen. Building trust is at the heart of good medicine. I make it a priority to explain things clearly and include patients in their care decisions. Whether it’s treating a heart problem right away or focusing on prevention, my goal is to provide care that’s compassionate, consistent and centered on each person’s needs.
