Horrible office and physician. Failed to call back multiple times. Poor up to date standard of care

Dr. Raymond Chen used to be a good doctor I had seen him for many years but the last five years is carrying and communication with his least with me is been terrible he gets on the computer while he's in the office and he is bothered by his staff so you don't get his full attention he's constantly being called out of the office out of the room for every 15 minutes that you have with him his staff is completely Rude the girls all have trouble taking blood many times I go for a blood test I've been poked sometimes four or five times his staff at the reception desk or where you pay or you check in or horrible gossiping amongst themselves instead of paying attention to patients and what their need they talk about their personal life in front of you that you stand there and wait while they clear up their personal conversation I have a new doctor now and the two receptionist that are in the office I never hear about their personal problems they talk they talk quietly amongst themselves if… you have a question you need to go up and ask them you have their attention so glad I switched should have done it years ago

My mother and I used to see dr. Raymond Chang. He did not give my mother the quality of care that she deserved her last couple years of her life when she was in the hospital he sent another doctor from his office to see her he did not even see her when she was at Saddleback Hospital after she had passed away I continue to seeing him his demeanor changed he was cold and rude to me his office staff also is very rude nurses that he has to draw your blood very incompetent many times when they would draw my blood they would poke me several times he has his wife running the office who is a dentist my health began to fail because of his treatment of me. The 15 minutes of his time with me was constantly being interrupted by his staff so I never got his full attention decided to change doctors and much happier and healthier since I have do yourself a favor don't go to a doctor's office where they are treated so bad no compassion when my mother died he didn't even say that he was sorry that she… passed away

I'll start with the good: Dr. Chang is courteous, thorough, and has a good bedside manner. He accurately diagnosed me and began treatment. The bad: We're to even begin. I have never encountered such a rude, incompetent office staff in my life, and I've dealt with some doozies in my medical career. Not only was I almost sent to collections for an "error" on their part (double billing is an error right, or is it just a crime?) but the simple task of obtaining my own medical records after I moved out of state proved too difficult for this group. When I called to inquire, I was met with nothing but attitude and handed off to 3 different girls who all claimed to be the office manager (unlikely). Long story short; 10 phone calls, 3 faxed/signed requests, and multiple busy signals (yes, this office doesn't have voicemail) later and I'm still waiting. My next step is legal action for withholding medical records. P.S.- Good luck getting the staff to stop talking about the last episode of… the Kardashians or gossiping long enough to notice you when you show up for an appointment.

I recomend this knowledgeable doctor.

When I refused to take medication for hyperthyroidism because I had no symptoms, Chang used excessive, extreme scare-tactics to try to bully me into taking medication. His diagnosis and treatment were accurate, but his tactics were deplorable.

I saw Dr. Chang for my diabetes. He not only took the time to listen to my health problems but was able to control my diabetes so well that I no longer have to use insulin injections. He is definitely an excellent Endocrinologist.

I have decided to move on to a new doctor as they do not return patients' phone calls. I am tired of the front office staff not knowing what they are doing. Most of them have to ask me how to spell the names of medications. If they would return phone calls and get new front office staff, I would stay, but I deserve better.
