Dr. Kumar Sathianathan, MD

1st visit -- came from recommendations from friends. Very pleased with first visit and communications since then. Staff and Dr. are very professional and pleasant.

Went in last week with bloating, discomfort, and nausea. After exam, Dr he sent me to medical oncologist Dr Ben Downie, who pronounced that I should have a CT guided pancreatic and liver biopsy. Both physicians were excellent. I have yet to hear of an appointment for the biopsies.

Dr. Kumar is an excellent doctor. I have been going to him for about 10 years now. He does not over-react, but he seems to genuinely care for the welfare of the patient, and he will call for a test to rule out something more serious. I highly recommend him.

Dr Kumar is my son's Doctor. He is very attentive to my son's special needs. When a test is done, he personally calls me with the results. It doesn't take long to get an appointment when needed - usually in the same day. He doesn't carry or even have a computer in the rooms so he can focus on the patient. Highly recommend him.

Could not have asked for a better doctor!!!!!

I recently moved to Georgetown and needed to find a new doctor so I chose Dr. Kumar. He is very nice as is his staff and his nurse. It was a yearly exam and I was pleased that he did a thorough examination requesting lab work and testing to be sure all is good. I am very pleased with my new doctor and have already recommended him to others.

I will not be going back. I was examined for less than 5 minutes and was looked over so fast by the doctor that I wasn't even asked to take a deep breath. A quick and uneducated ( meaning he asked me no questions about my health, history, or symptoms, nor did he examine me thoroughly) assumption that my issue was due to a past diagnosis. The doctor even walked out of the door while I was mid sentence talking to him..the good rating on courteous staff is for his nurses and office staff.

I have been seeing this doctor for 3 years now. He is very sharp, inquisitive and is so kind. He respects his patients and is always available when he is on call. I give him 5 stars and can't thank him enough for his ability to see a problem and doesnt hesitate to refer you to a specialist. His staff is very courteous and efficient.

Dr Kumar is a wonderful doctor and we just love him.

Dr. Kumar has been my doctor for many years. His patient skills are great - from compassion to the medical side. I would recommend, and do, to anyone looking for a great doctor.
