Dr. Kunwardeep Dhillon, MD

St. Mary's pulmonary care is a mess - they've had two doctors leave in the last 2-3 months, and now I can't even get in to see anyone. My initial appointment was with Tempest Varner, rescheduled when she was fired, so Dr. Dhillon took over. Appointment with her rescheduled for a month later, then cancelled, with no availability for 4 months, then they scheduled with different doctor a month out who had already resigned. (no continuity of care.) I had conflicting test results which Dr. Dhillon didn't really address, no direction on whether to continue with CPAP treatment, prescribed a sleep aid that made me more tired than before. To her credit, after complaining (the only way to get any response!!!) she did make time for a call since I couldn't get on her schedule. Tried to get on schedule of the nurse practitioner in same practice who had appointments available the same week, but they wouldn't let me schedule it until Dr. Dhillon "gave permission" - apparently I'm not in control of my… own healthcare. By the time she had, the NP's appointments were all full up and not available to schedule for 4 months. Put on "waitlists" which means nothing. Now they've referred me out of network to Renown - which will invariably cost more money with no continuity of care. This is what happens when a hospital and office doesn't care about patients. I give them a little grace since two doctors leaving stresses everyone's schedule, but still it is unacceptable. Office staff are rude and clearly don't want to have to deal with irate patients. Everyone is throwing up their hands, or worse, accepting that this is just the way it is - which is why this kind of treatment keeps happening. What a horrible experience and glimpse into the dysfunction of the healthcare system.

Today was my initial visit with Doctor Dhillon. I am very happy to have her treating me. She was very thorough in her examination, very professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this doctor to everyone having any sort of respiratory problems.
