Dr Kurt N. Bausback, MD

After 5 years of no one being concerned about my high cholesterol and my family history of heart disease, Dr. Bausback started me on the lowest does of a statin and that is all it took for my lipid numbers to drop dramatically

Terrible diagnosis and followup. Dr. Bausback seems to care on the surface but when it comes to following through and caring for the patient,he does not own up to his lack of professionalism and life threatening advice to the patient. Does not educate the patient at all in terms of the seriousness of the side effects of the medication he prescribes. Chaotic office. Every time a different nurse follows up with instructions for the dosage of a highly toxic blood thinner. It appears that he got his education at Stanford but I would definitely stay away for this doctor. If I could give him less than 1 star, I would have.

My uncle was under the care of this doctor and was given a blood thining medication. Lack of upfront patient education on the drug's interaction with certain foods or medications, and lack of close monitoring and followup caused massive internal bleeding leading to my uncle's hospitalization & death. After being told that my uncle was in critical condition, the doctor did not even care to pay a visit or call for a follow up. Stay away from this doctor and the nurses as it may cause your loved one's life.
