From the initial consult, to my full recovery from hernia surgery, my experience with Dr. Graupensberger and his staff was exceptional. The office staff were courteous and efficient, getting me in quickly to learn what my family doctor could not confirm—that I had a hernia. Dr. Greapensberger’s two Physician’s Assistants, one who first detected the hernia, and the other who helped me with post operative recovery, were both articulate, compassionate, and clearly well-trained. But my greatest gratitude must go to Dr. Graupensberger. My surgery went very well, and I had almost no pain afterward, healing quickly and fully. As a 70 year old, I was concerned to get surgery, but with such a superb team working for me, I came through as well as I possibly could have. I’d recommend Dr. Graupensberger highly to anyone, including friends or family members.

I have two complaints. First he didn't did follow up to a questions. I called each week for three weeks. His staff confirmed they relayed the message. Due to him ignoring my message my treatment schedule was derailed. I later found out that my insurance for which he participates requires six weeks of rehab. He only scheduled me four weeks. Due to his decision I was denied an MRI by my insurance.

Thanks to his error, I have post-surgical hypoparathyroidism and basically, he has ruined my life.

Over the top in both skill and care

I was able to get in to see Dr. Graupensperger quicker than expected. PCP made an original appointment with another surgeon but I had to wait 6 weeks before they would even be able to see me. They made the request for a different surgeon because my father just had hernia surgery with Dr. G. and since he's a SR and I'm a JR we wanted to avoid confusion. Told my PCP of the long wait and they changed my appointment to Dr. G. he was able to see me, schedule the surgery, and have a follow-up before I was even able to see the first referred surgeon. In recovery now and appreciate the flexibility, attentiveness, and professionalism I received from him and his staff.
