Dr. Kurt Ashley Massey, MD

In my opinion and multiple family members opinions.... He has been great!!! We have had many, many, visits with him. He even did surgery on my left foot with nothing but positive results. Professional, respectful, even remembered me after 4 years of seeing him. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

HE IS A QUACK -- STAY AWAY If I could rate him NO stars I would. The hospital called him to look at a diabetic sore on my foot. He even went so far as to schedule surgery. At surgery he said he was going to amputate, at which point I fired him right then and there. The hospital called in another podiatrist and she said she looked at the CT scan and said there was no infection that rose to the level of needing any amputation. She did the surgery. I still have my foot and all my toes, NO THANKS to Kurt Massey. Kurt Massey didn't do anything good for me and even billed me for his incompetency. Thank goodness there are choices of podiatrists way much better than Kurt Massey. Stay away from him at all costs.

Dr. Massey is rude and does not care about his patients. I had bunion surgery and second toe shortening done by him. Based off of several different sources (hospital foot doctor, Mayo Clinic, ect), I have a misalignment due to a fall I had when cleared to go about on a knee scooter/crutches. Got X-rays and he refused to acknowledge them and would not even order new ones despite my many requests. He also told me quote "Don't listen to other doctors. That's not they're specialty" when the doctor who looked at the hospital X-rays is literally a foot doctor. He did not care that I was in pain and his practice blocked me from seeking a second opinion from another practice (other than just ER) due to something called a "global" that claims that I can't see other foot doctors since my insurance won't cover it. Contacted my insurance and they've never heard of this "global". He refused to even acknowledge me collapsing when I put weight on my foot after I was put in a medical boot. I don't… just collapse from minor pain. It felt like my foot was being broken. DO NOT LET HIM BE YOUR FOOT DOCTOR!!!

If I could give less than a one star review I would. Dr. Massey was extremely rude and dismissive and did not want to answer questions. It was clear that he did not like the fact that I came with my husband to ask questions. He also dismissed the fact that my husband had a reaction to the antibiotic that he was given, stating that it was not possible for the drug to cause those reactions, even though it did. We asked about putting my husband's foot in a boot and he immediately dismissed that idea (the dr. we saw the next day actually suggested a boot). This doctor needs to learn how to interact with patients instead of talking down to them and attempting to make them feel stupid.

My first visit with Dr. Massey was fine he was very polite, professional and informative. The second visit had me in shock. He was very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. I will not return to that office due to his rudeness. He never answered my question or concern regarding my condition instead responding in a mean and disrespectful manner. It would benefit him if he took a break from both his practice and interacting with the public

This Doctor is Crazy, , Rude, disrespectful, and does not care for his patients. Don’t waste you time on even making an appointment with him. I went in for my pre-op and he said he was canceling my Surgery, because I told his assistant, to do her job. She kept call me to track down my medical procedure. Which after I spend 2 hours searching for the records. I was informed that his office was faxed all the information, on May 26 at 2:22 pm. I called back Jenny at Dr. Massey office and told her that the information was sent her, and that all the doctors in the PHC. Can go into my portal and see everything. She said that I needed to go by and pick up the records. I told her to do her job, stop passing your job onto the patients. I am so glad he is not going to do my surgery any longer. God was looking after me.

My surgery went well. After asking him questions about specific symptoms during a post op appointment he told me I have something wrong with me stating that I must have “something organic happening , adhd, or extreme anxiety” and I needed to tell him which one so he knows how to best communicate to me because he had already explained my foot would not return to normal for 6 months several times and that it didn’t matter what adjective I gave the symptoms it was all normal. I filed a complaint and let the corporate office know I did not feel comfortable to see him again only for him to call me and tell me he decided I need to see his partner and that he was sorry it didn’t work out the way I wanted. No apology for his behavior what so ever and just added further insult to the situation. This man should not be allowed to interact with anyone and this to me is abusive behavior and should be fired.

I've got wry nonfunctional toe after surgery and "Don't waste my time" from Kurt Massey as parting words when decided to ask questions about that surgery during visit I paid for.
